Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ugly defence for the Scarlets try, though the offload was good.

    17 tackles made by Munster??
    140 tackles by Scarlets

    Can someone check that?

Marshall shouldn't be tapping and going there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Idiotic from Goggin. Head wrecking stuff. Fonotia looked at the ref while giving away his penalty though, proper shíthousing.

It was a good call...not his fault that Goggin was over exuberant

Cassiem has 23 tackles already at this point of the game

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Scarlets harsh done by there. Never a pen

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Neither of those were penalties. The crowd bought the first so they can’t complain now.

Have to get a score here

not bound to the maul. off side

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Scarlets 9 wasn’t even interested in the tackle he rolled out of the way of the two lads.

    Ugh.

Holland not happy..and he's not wrong

Marshall was in front so its offside.

Should be Munster Pen for the high shot on Botha and YC minimum

There's a nasty late shot by Scarlets 20 as the maul ended. Tmo really should have picked that up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Too much to ask the lads in comms to highlight red 20, too busy talking to Shane Williams about hating this weather

The one thing that the ref didn't ask about is offside,

Yeah, Marshall didn't even need to be there, Kleyn would have steamrolled him on his own. Trying to be too clever

    Ah Botha FFS

Scarlets jumping over and offside again. .and again

We're spending way too much time in the Scarlets 22 with no tries to show for it.

The conditions are awful, but we should be winning this game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Shocking waste of a brilliant line from Sweetnam.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

The one thing that the ref didn't ask about is offside,

The ref reviewed. Marshall was in front of the ball carrier and dragged him up from the ground. That is offside effectively. It's like playing a knock on from in front.

Why are they not taking the 3 points.

    It wasn't offside,

    It wasn't offside,

The maul is over when the ball carrier goes to ground. Marshall kept playing from in front of the ball, he was offside

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

    It wasn't offside,

It was. They broke from the maul, Marshall was in front of the ball carrier. That’s offside.

    It wasn't offside,
It 100% was. Maul was complete. Player in front of ball carrier couldnt do as they did. They were offside as in front of ball carrier

    Did the ref call offside...

    Did the ref call offside...

Upon reviewing with the TMO he did.

Really, thought he gave it for impeding a scarlet defender

    Ah Botha, come on man

As it stands, Munster aren't looking likely to get the try they need

If he was in the maul, he would have been allowed to impede the scarlet tackler, but because the maul was over, he was offside and shouldn't have been involved in play.

One of the games where it feels like Munster could be out there till tomorrow and still wouldn't score a try....

In an offside position. He explained that they broke from the mail and so Marshall was offside and prevented a defender from making a tackle.

Only Munster could lose a game having that much possession and territory

    No imagination unfortunately

    Awful performance

They got what they deserved unfortunately

If I was a munster fan I would be absolutely wrecking the house now.

Scarlets have only lost once this year at home. In those conditions it was always going to be a really tight game.

Munster should have won but we'll take the LBP
