ATM-only cards scrapped after May 11th. RoI only?

    Does this apply to the Bank of Ireland in the Republic of Ireland only? What about Northern Ireland?

    Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

    We do plan to remove ATM only cards and replace them with Visa Debit Cards on some account types in Northern Ireland and UK. Impacted customers will receive a letter to notify them in advance however, we don't have an exact date.

    Will the Basic Cash account that currently has an ATM only card be affected by this change?

    We've not yet been advised of the account types that will change over to Visa Debit. As soon as it's been confirmed BOI will reach out to all affected customers, thanks for your interest.
