Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I’m helping my sister buy a new, second hand car. We’re going tyre kicking this morning. She has her heart set on an Audi TT , 2016 onwards. I’ll probably end up going to the UK and driving it back, anyone here have first hand experience/knowledge of these. All help, info greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi,

Probably petrol ... she doesn’t do big mileage.

Is the Quattro worth paying the extra?

Quattro is worth the extra if you’re a driver, not worth it if you just like pretty things. Better resale on a Quattro.

Sitting in Audi’s new dealership in Limerick awaiting the salesman.
New showroom is seriously swish. No TT of any description in stock. No TT in any Joe Duffy premises. Are they that rare?
Looks like a trip to UK

Post 2008 petrol TTs are rare as hen's teeth in this country. There is a 2015 TT petrol for sale in Dublin but it's a drop top.

If your thinking of importing then VRT might be high on them.

    Cheers bazz

I really know very little about them.
She really needs to drive one before we go looking at imports.
Clock ticking on brexit also , so conscious of this .
Heading into Conlans now to check out Minis

Is she just looking for something that looks nice or does she want something that handles and performs well?

I think I bought their last TT demo in 2017 :pac:

Most of my driving is on the motorway so keep it in efficiency 2 wheel drive mode. Nice to put it into quattro every now and then.

What about a BMW 2 or 4 Series coupe?

    Ha!
    I’ve a 4 Coupe she thinks it’s too big!
Looked at a 2 series also but she has decided it’s gonna be a TT , Mini Hatch 3 door with all the bells and whistles is a possibility also.

Sorry, just back from a family gathering.

Should be able to arrange another time. Possibly at the coffee and cars thing.
