Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I use my internet mainly for streaming Netflix, I have a 4K tv and so movies are streamed at such. Now according to your data usage as shown below (we all know your 'unlimited' is in fact limited). You state,
    • eir Fibre packages with an unlimited usage allowance are subject to a fair usage policy of 1TB per month.
    • Usage in excess of 1TB will be charged at €2.50 inc VAT for every 10GB up to a maximum of €100 inc VAT per month.
This can be found here; https://www.eir.ie/support/broadband/broadband-usage-allowance/
Here is a shot of my data usage for past two months that I have been overcharged, January fair enough and I paid the out of bundle charge However february was well under the 1tb cap and you have no right to try and charge me for it

    Data usage: https://imgur.com/jgdaYJf 737640504

    February usage in particular: https://imgur.com/9SOgihs

Here is what I have been charged for the past two months!
https://imgur.com/EBqDa2o and latest https://imgur.com/gIWPYrg with this surcharge https://imgur.com/Fz5Is35 <- Thats ridiculous total data usage for the moneth was well under the 1tb cap It was exactly 287GB's under the 1tb cap as such I refuse to pay the €72.51 as I did not exceed 1TB. I dont want excuses, I want that charge removed.

This is ridiculous, and I refuse to pay a second overcharge. I will be contacting comreg to report this matter. You would think after being fined for this you would have learned your lesson! https://www.thejournal.ie/eircom-fined-overcharging-customers-4091434-Jun2018/ I expect to be refunded asap. I am no longer under contract as far as I am aware also right?

Remember bills will be by the billing period not by the month - so usage will span over two consecutive months
All users can be transferred to unlimited download - make sure to ask for that. Based on your usage over 2 days in March you need it.

I am unlimited, my data gets reset same day every month and the money is directly debited same day each month. Its been this way since 2012 when I started with them. This thread is for the attention of EIR representatives, as Eir no longer have their own forum. Thanks for your concern though.

    I am unlimited

Not 1TB unlimited which anyone who was in contract prior to the end of July last year would be on
All broadband is now truly unlimited with eir - there is no 1TB limit or excess usage charges, but you need to be moved on to the package

Wow, why were existing customers not made aware of this? Thanks for the info

You would need to look at your billing period - it could be the 12th or the 25th of the month and that is the date they calculate usage from.
