European car insurance for Ireland.

    Hi All,
    I have heard a couple of times on the radio about people getting car insurance with companies based in Germany or Spain or somewhere in Europe for driving in Ireland. They are Irish people born here, living here.

    Has anyone heard of that before, any company names?
    Anyone got such insurance?
