Maybe a silly q, but is there set handicap ranges for junior and intermediate?

I'm not sure if it's universal across all clubs but in WGC the Junior is 4-9 and Intermediate is 10-18.

They do differ from club to club. Can't understand why the GUI don't set them in stone for every club.

Since i got cut to 10 my weekend in Kerry for the ballybunion and tralee intermediate scratch cups has been ruined. Tralee is 10-18 and
    Ballybunion is 12-18.

Can you still go, just not enter the competition? When I played at Ballybunion a couple of years back, one of my playing partners had recently dropped from 12 to 11, he still played his round just didn’t enter the comp.

Anyone know what won the Tralee JSC yesterday? Played tough, css was 75 (par 72).

I'm playing the Junior in Tralee this week. €60 is definitely worth it.

    How did you get on?

My stuff for sale on Adverts inc. EDDI, hot water cylinder, roof rails...

Took 5 hours to get around Tralee in 3 balls. 4 groups waiting on the 3rd teebox. Long bloody day not helped by the golf! 72 was savage scoring in that wind.

The price is crazy when you see Killarney charging the same and including lunch.

Thats a ridiculous price for an inter or junior, lunch included or not

That would be expensive for a 36 hole event

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,005 ✭✭✭✭Seve OB

Agree on price. Ballybunion and Tralee are about the same. I know which I’d rather play.
