    The unit is now "Bakelicious". Definitely gone. Earlsfort Terrace would be the nearest now. South city centre has probably lost more post offices than any other urban area in the country

    For what it’s worth, Bakelicious is now also closed and there’s a planning permission sign outside for change of use from cafe to retail space.

    Pity, the Bakelicious almond croissants were very good.

    It’s getting hard to keep up with closures/openings but another nearby post office is in the spar on Clanbrassil Street at the St Patricks Cathedral end

    That was always a post office - you walked through Auinger Danger to get to it. Was a coffee shop in front of the post office before then.

    Dara O Briain had a sketch in his routine (for Dublin shows) about how the post office would likely survive it and have constant changing trends in the front; after about a few shows it had closed down anyway!
