Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok so looks like I've got problems with this VRT thing. Spent an hour going through the massive VRT thread but no answers and stuff to do.
    1. How is the VRT fine calculated for cars in the state beyond the 30 day period?
    2. Can someone VRT more than 1 car here or has that now changed ?
    3. So basically nobody can buy a UK reg car here in Ireland unless sold by a dealer, because a) its illegal to sell wheels bought in a foreign state b) they will have to pay the VRT fines if car here more than 30 days.
The problem for sellers is that if people find themselves here in a UK reg car temporarily and then stay permanently for whatever reason, they run the risk of their road tax and mot running out, which then makes it a problem for re entering the UK in order to return with a fresh ferry ticket (or how could you prove you'd been in NI?). There are genuine people with UK reg cars off road here who would like to sell them and not have to lose their life savings nor have that passed on to the buyer.
Maybe I'm just naive and the majority are great story tellers.🀔
