Whats your "go to" restaurant in Cork...we all like to spread the wealth, shop around, taste different...but when push comes to shove, when you and the auld doll just want to "go out"..where do you go ?where is your comfort zone...for us it's bunnyconnellans or Ristorante Rossini not just for the food but for the whole experience...Bunny's for the view..food..and the feeling of being away from it all...RR for the feeling that you are wanted, both places always make us feel that we are the only ones there..hard to describe, but, just nice, just that feeling that you are appreciated not just for your money, but for being there.................we visit both at least 3-4 times every year, and always leave happy.where is yours....................

Electric on South Mall, and Quinlan's on Prince's Street. I also love Il Padrino but Woman isn't a huge fan of Italian.

Woman goes batshit for the crab-claws in there. I love the chowder.

I used to love Bullies but afaik they're not there anymore?

A friend loves Amicus even though they tried to kill her by activating her seafood allergy one time. *shrugs

Been there just to sample what the buzz about it was....food was OK but overpriced, atmosphere was boring, people just talking about the food while eating. I've been to Japanese restaurants before and the fare always seems to be the same, nice but nothing special

    OK, not really;)

I have been and am booked to go again, though.
I genuinely think it is one of the best value restaurants in the city. Not joking there. Not at a price point for weekly visits, alas.

My only go to restaurant is Iyer's. More a cafe the a restaurant but Mrs beer an I eat there around once a week. Delicious, friendly and really inexpensive.

Mine too. Lovely and interesting food for the price of a McDonald's.

Bastion in Kinsale does a 7 course tasting menu - superb.

Also, Finns Table in Kinsale is top notch nosh.

Not the cheapest but very very good.

The Golden Elephant (Thai) in Douglas.
Either sit down or take away.
They make all sauces from scratch and the staff are great.
Never had a bad meal there. I'm vegetarian, Mrs. Farquarson isn't
The takeaway app is brilliant as well.

Holy Smoke was my go-to for a while, Ramen or Koto in Douglas now. Boojum if I just fancy a burrito.

Good to hear that, I've never seen them in Douglas but they followed me on Instagram weirdly enough and I've been hanging for one since.

I'm back in the summer so its on the list.

    Whereabouts are they?

The back Douglas road, over Dominoes, opposite Havalis.
They used to gave the Nakon Thai, which was equally as good.
