Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In Ireland the recession was really bad until about 2015, that was a historic period because it was so terrible. Suicides, emigration, huge job losses, negative equity, really dark period.

Also this decade it became obvious there are major problems with social media and ‘big tech’. Still no sign of any regulation though.

The decade when "thoughts and prayers" were replaced by "sending positive vibes"

What is the difference, exactly? Except the removal of prayer, of course. We can't have people doing archaic things like praying, now can we?
Instead let's use our energy to send positive vibes to bereaved people...

i like how you dont seem to think its a pretty similar subset doing either

A lot of people now, particularly the Twitter crowd, seem to think it's silly to say they are praying for someone going through a bad time. But will instead say they are sending "positive vibes".
How does either thing really help?

How could you send a positive vibe? If God exists and gets a prayer he might decide to do something. But a positive vibe sent on Twitter won’t help.

They are not really worth mentioning, as few use them and it's like the Wild West in terms of standards.

I was referring more to on our streets, rather than online.

During the 00's when I was a teen you still had skaters, emos, goths, metalheads, chavs, punks, and actual hipsters.

Now all the kids on the street look the same.
