If you checked the nicholls blog he said the plan was to run Politilogue more patiently and that made all the difference and he had ran well against Altior before.

Think this is a great spot to back Tiger Roll now, getting odds against bc Gordon hasnt had a win. Said on his blog was his best chance, facing horses hes beat, and proven festival form winning there multiple times.

My first decent bet this week: 110 at 11/8 pays back 261. Also did a treble Altior Tiger Roll Envoi Allen for 16 pays back 266.

Not a big fan of these cross country races usually but having skipped all yesterday I can afford it.

Hate to brag but hope someone else followed. 400 up

I'd say the Racing Post will be onto you soon about writing a column

Sorry, had to edit that. 400 profit. Salty ass.

The Duc got me out of a hole yesterday, hoping for better though:

    1330 - City Island
    1410 - The Worlds End
    1450 - Lil Rockerfelleh
1530 - Politologue (on the nose)
    1610 - Urgent de Gregaine
    1650 - Dogon
    1730 - The Glancing Queen

Politologue gave me a great spin - had him at 25s. Ah well, worth a shot. Got a free bet off Powers anyway.
City Island started off nice. Lil Rockefelleh was a disappointment for me. He had a wind op and previous festival form but got ran out of it.

    1.30 City island (w)
    2.10 Delta Work
2.50 Dancing on my Own (w)
    3.30 Altior
    4.10 Tiger Roll
    4.50 Lethal Steps (w)
    5.30 Meticulous (w)

Four to win and a small treble with the 3 favourites. Great day for the Irish trainers if they all win.

Early winner meant free rest of day with some profit. Delta winning would have been a nice treble too but cant complain still up. On to Thursday

    1.30 City Island win
2.10 Delta Work / TOTG forecast
    2.50 Uradel win
    3.30 Politolgue w/o Altior
    4.10 Nothing backed
    4.50 Got Trumped ew
    5.30 Envoi Allen

Haven't a clue what I'm at of course.

Decent day all the same. Ended up backing josies orders in addition to to above but up for the week so far albeit very small stakes.

Horses I'll be putting in QPs / PPs (and backing in place only singles if they're 7/4 or better to do so).

    13:30 Bright Forecast (3rd 25/1)
    14:10 Santini (2nd)
    14:50 Vision Des Flos
    15:30 Min
    16:10 Tiger Roll (1st)
    16:50 Band of Outlaws (1st)
    17:30 Envoi Allen (1st)

You'd think from my selections this morning that I'd have had a good day. Well I didn't. Thought I was big lad after my bets in the first two and put half me eggs in the one basket that was Vision Des Flos to come in the first six and then the other half of me eggs in another basket that was Min ... and lost me bleedin shirt so I did.

I was like Uncle Billy in It's A Wonderful Life after Min didn't come in the first two. Hadn't a screed. Was walking by pub windows in the rain. Watching my last three selections hose up.

    :(

Outlaw Pete, the worst feeling in the world so it is. Discipline is the hardest thing to obey to in gambling. I hadn’t the price of a pint yesterday after doing my bollocks on Discorama but we have ta look forward

    Yeah, absolutely, onwards and upwards.

I've stuck the car on Adverts at half the market value and putting it all on the Epatante in the Mares' Novice at 5/2.

Only messing before someone contacts Gambler's Anonymous on me :)

No, the horse didn’t “**** you over”. Give up that talk, don’t have a bet if you can’t take losing money.
