We hit peak “tribute” when drico retired

POC made a pointed comment afterwards that he found such things “embarrassing”

CJ would make you want to tackle a wall

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Biased and all but two super tactical kicks and a big clearout already from Carty. Great to see.

No bias needed. Two seriously impressive kicks straight off the bench. Brilliant stuff.

No Pressure so will learn nothing , Not exactly Carberry in Soldier Field against the All Blacks

Another Pen and the French will surely have a binning

To the fellas criticising Murray for the odd poor pass - are ye applying the same focus on the poorer aspects of his play to other players? Genuinely asking here.

Ringrose is doing some amazing things out there, he's also missed four tackles of his ten tackles, given away a penalty and turned over the ball three times.

Players can make mistakes and still play well

They can, but Murray's passing is still off. It's been better today, but he's had a lot of glaring mistakes and if your 9s passing isn't up to scratch then it has a massive impact on the overall performance.

Ringrose could miss a tackle and have someone there to cover him, a poor pass from Murray is a completely different kettle of fish.

I hope today's performance is a sign that he's getting there, but he's still not there yet.

Small thing. But I would like us to keep France scoreless

Ridiculous that France haven't had a card with the penalty count.

CJ is vital to this Irish team .

Hear him on the microphone :) love it

    Gain confidence at international level...?

I agree they're not at the coalface at 26-0 coming on, but there's a lot to be said for getting more than the customary 5 mins at the end of a game

In a weird kind of way Schmidt wont have learnt much. France pack has been pretty woeful to a man. French rugby should be ashamed. Poor old French 9 has been hounded all day.

To labour your own point, that game was over when he came on in that match. And he missed a conversion with "no pressure" right at the end.

    Give the card ref ffs

    Terrible refereeing by Glenn Jackson

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,876 ✭✭✭✭Beechwoodspark

    Finally a yellow?

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,143 ✭✭✭fitz

France on their 6th last chance.

Rare to see in the lineout. Interesting that Pom was the automatic choice to jump in a 3 person lineout.
He's so quick into air that not that surprising.
Another Pen and the French will surely have a binning
At scrum theyve just got the warning so next one will be yellow

yeah would be huge for morale

Ref bottling it on the cards fron today. He's a good ref though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

How many more penalties with a card or penalty try! Jokeshop, the only bad point of a otherwise good ref performance today

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,469 ✭✭✭rodge123

This ref is a complete joke, how many penalizes have France given away and no yellow?

If it was a right game, you’d be fuming with him

    Unbelievably lenient to les bleus

Jack Conan needs to learn how to control a ball at the back of a scrum

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Just curious - what exactly do France have to do to get carded?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,878 ✭✭✭budhabob

Earl's has been class today, at plenty of rucks, clearouts....and then the odd flash of pace

He's learned the Sexton Loop can still have success against tier 2 opposition

    about time with the card

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,452 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Sorry, his unwillingness to apply the rules eclipses and good to his refereeing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

How can you penalise the same player 3 times in a row for collapsing a scrum and still not give a card?

About time with a card. However that it took 68 mins is crazy.

That would be hilarious if it was Glen Jackson on the field.

    Its Ben O'Keeffe.

When posters are calling for a player to be hooked after 10 minutes, you candraw your own conclusions as to the motives. Murray played well and was instrumental to the 2nd and 3rd tries and put in his usual good quota of tackles and workrate around the pitch.

One miscontrol and he needs to learn how to do control a ball at the back of a scrum?

Were you not the very person having a pop at people for criticising Murray's passing today?

He had less than 1 min of actual in Play time in Rome and managed a Knock On..

Bamba absolutely trampled over James Ryan there. What a prospect he is. This French team if they could pull it together could be unreal in a few year time with the players coming through

Quality of Stockdale's kicking leaves a lot to be desired today

Larmour has had a very poor game in my book. He's not the answer to 15 yet.

You've decided to ignore everyone's point because you don't like what they're saying.

Murray's been poor all tournament and that shouldn't be ignored simply because we know he can be better. He's not been doing the business this year.

I know we are winning with a bp to a zero BUT we should have put 8 tries on this sorry sorry french team.

Great from Lamour but selfish in the end. Two green jerseys he could have given and ran away from the support.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,569 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Ah. That move was so good from Larmour. Pity though that Ireland messed up the ball near the posts.
