Okay, so this is what I've done.
I set up an facebook account using my real name but with some tweaks,
First name uses a common knickname derived from my real name, which I've never gone by.
Second name is now double barreled, and spaced differently.
Profile photo is me at a comic con dressed as rorschach
Email is my old student email which uses an ID rather than name.
So its me, but anonymised. If FB come looking for ID, I'm golden.
Do you have ID with the name appearing as such though?
They say it has to be a name you're commonly known as so they might dick around.

Something else that might be possible is to create an account in one of your parent's names! You'd need to ask them for permission of course

Kinda, My passport is that name, my FB account is just using a nickname, which can be derived from my actual name and is used commonly enough, so who is to say I don't use it, also the spacing and use of double barreling my middle name with last name, is enough to make it anonymous.0 -

I'm still against the Facebook requirement which is why I'm not going all in.
But wireless VR is the ONLY way I can VR from now on, even with the attractiveness of the HP Reverb G2... I simply cannot go back to wires.
So if there's a better way to experience my PC VR games without wires, at such a reasonable cost, I'm going to jump on it.
I think the moment that hit me was when I played Half Life Alyx and I went up several floors of a staircase by rotating on the spot several times... lo and behold I didn't have to rotate back the other way to untangle the cord.
Also rolling around the place playing Superhot VR and Space Pirate Trainer just confirmed it for me.
I also still love my Oculus Go for playing in bed, or my latest thing now is to read comics lying on my back in bed with my Go.
Wireless is the best.
Note though... because of the Facebook thing, I'm limiting my future purchases to SteamVR primarily, so like I said, I'm not all in. Unless there is a really good sale on 0 -

Is there a possibility of more Oculus exclusives in future? I assume that FB don't get any revenue from Steam purchases but do from Oculus Store purchases. Given that they are selling the Quest 2 at a deep loss, this feels like a logical step to me.0 -
