Broadband Extension

Hey ,

Hopefully someone can help.

I have extended my broadband to an office I built in the back garden it is a v.irgin hub and I have hard wired to another modem( an old virgin one we had ) in the office(to extend wifi). The problem is I need to get the two modems running off the same IP - I kind of have an idea of what needs to be done just dont know how to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

As much i know there was/is hub1, hub2, hub3. Model number is MODEL NUMBER, not generic name.

However, setup is similar to all/any modem/router.
1. Set static IP on second device.
2. Decide/set SSID as you desire - same as first/main(name and pass) or as different.
3. Turn DHCP OFF on second device.

P.S. "...get the two modems running off the same IP..." - don't even think about it, can't be done on same network without errors.

In Ireland its H3 only, Compal CH7465lg.

Didn't know that, not VM customer/H3 user.
Makes thing simpler then.
