Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A dreadful first half, too many errors, inaccuracy and poor execution across the field

I wonder what Schmidt is thinking. Would love to be a fly on the wall at halftime.

I wonder if that All Black offer is still on the table....

This roof thing is nonsense. Same for both teams. It’s an outdoor sport and 99.99% of stadiums don’t have a roof. Wish the commentators would shut up going on about it.

Absolute horror show from Ireland, the worst this 6 nations. This team is unrecognisable from 2018.

    Healy has been really poor.

    Roux to the backrow?

Can I have what you're smoking. I may at least be able to have a laugh at this game.

Lack of discipline and continuos basic errors have killed this Irish team.

Edit. And another peno given away.

Line out tactics is bizarre as well.

Ref never overturns earlier knock on call on Welsh line!!

Tipuric interfering with Healy bind there tho

Embarrassing that we demanded the roof be open when WE are the ones that can't handle the slippy ball.

The Welsh have been so up for this from the whistle. We are not at the races.
or maybe we should be at the races.:(

I'm watching this having had a drink or two and I'm quite annoyed at how we're going but our backrow seems totally AWOL.

This penalty is going to take it beyond any score we can recover, the game is over. Need to have a serious look at a few of the untouchables.

Sexton should probably avoid the little strops and tantrums when he’s playing like a drain.

Sexton showing his petulance again. Poor show. Let's see some leadership Johnny, not the bold child.

Far too players off form all tournament.

    Sexton
    Murray
    Kearney
    POM
    SOB
    Best
    Stander

    All stalwarts though. Undroppable.

If it wasn't so wet there be some chance of a comeback but there isn't a hope now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 392 ✭✭Sephiral

Second row is too light. Both great players individually, but not enough bulk. Means Wales are getting shove on every scrum and we are struggling in the tight exchanges. Badly missing Henderson or Toner.

Everyone besides Beirne is having a mare.

Beirne has given away two stupid penalties which cancels out that one steal he's gotten so far.

Ryan is the only Irish player who can hold his head up. Earls hasn't had much time to anything so it would be harsh to say he's playing poorly too. I would have said Stander too only for that silly penalty.

Considering the 8 penalties and huge amount of handling errors, we're lucky to be only 16 down.

There'll be plenty of Scots and Japanese confidently looking for them after this.

16-0 is about right at half time. In danger of an absolute tonking unless we come out all guns blazing in the second half

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,186 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

Beirne in the scrum is adding nothing I think.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,525 ✭✭✭kilns

Ireland nearly matching their six nations penalty total in one game alone, what has happened to them as this is not like an amazing welsh team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Wales about to win the easiest grand slam in six nations history.

Ireland have never come from more than 8 points behind against Wales? Crazy stat.

Very poor game. Can't blame the red really

I'm embarassed by how little we're making Wales work for this. The team needs a fresh injection of energy. Time for Best to make way I think.
