Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Now that the six nations zero tolerance window is over, it will be interesting to see how far we can push awec this week before he eventually snaps.

I call it red card roulette. Someone makes a statement, and then we keep inching closer to a breach of charter until someone get's a red.

    I'll start!

Montpellier really have gotten the best out of Ruan Pienaar.

Awec is a Leinster fan really

He said inching closer Burkie, not leaping straight to the nuclear. :pac:

Reckon Treacy gets the nod over Cronin.
It will be interesting to see if Larmour is on the bench.
Awful news about VDF. It's mad how one of the open sides is seemingly always injured.
I want to see Sexton get some quick ball this week. He needs it after the Wales match. I think he's going to hit the ground running.
His poor form of late was most likely due to awful service.

John Laceys performance as a referee in 2013 is widely held as the pinnacle of refereeing.
    Perfection can never be surpassed.

Pienaar was a busted flush in his last few seasons at Ulster. Cooney's superior performances since joining justifies the non-renewal of Pienaar's contract.

Right now Sexton isn't playing well enough to exploit any positional deficiency in Ulster's back 3. I've never seen him kick as poorly as last Saturday. Maybe Ringrose could do it though. Larmour and he kicked well against France.

I will wait and see what Sexton can do on Saturday.,....

That is if he is fit, didn't look great when they pulled Byrne from last weekend.

Do you remember the time Robbie Diack didn't botch a try in a Pro12 final against Leinster?

    Leinster are fellow Mexicans.

    Munster is Leinster's Mexico.

    Ulster is Leinster's North Korea.

A doer Ulster's recent injury update Marty Moore is following the return to play protocols for a head knock he sustained last weekend. Losing Moore is a blow. He's improved a lot in recent months. If he's out Leinster will target the scrum.

There was no mention of Henderson at all so I'm guessing he's fit. I think Leinster's second row would shade Ulster's regardless, but no Hendo would be a disaster.

RTP wouldn’t rule him out completely though? Depends on how quickly he progress’s.

It does. But I'm guessing they'll be cautious and keep him out.

It’s really disappointing we’re unlikely to see the likes of Ringrose/Addison, Moore/Healy and Ryan/Henderson. With the interpros diluted these days, European or League knockout games seems to be the only time we get to see Irish provinces go full strength against each other.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Dwayne Peel was asked about Henderson and Moore.

Henderson being looked at day-by-day, Moore following RTP. Sounded more hopeful on Moore than Henderson.

I would imagine if Henderson is even only partially fit he'll be played, once he looks able for ~60 mins work, he's just too vital.

Excited for the 70th minute when, in a 1 point game, Jack McGrath receives a pass on Leinster’s 22, turns, runs under his own posts and touches down. In the confusion McGrath tears his blue jersey off Hulk Hogan style to reveal a white Ulster one. Ref Wayne Barnes allows it and with 16 men versus 14 Ulster run in a few more tries and coast to the semis.

... Also at full time the mysterious masked player who solved Ulster’s injury crisis at 13 reveals himself to be an un-retired Brian O’Driscoll. He apologies profusely for all his past Ulster negativity, encourages more player movement north and hails Rory Best as the greatest Irish captain of all time.

Another case like Ferris in the 2012 final that was never played.

They also taped Ferris up for the Q/F that year and he put in a performance for the ages!

I agree though without Hendy we are done.

Discussing on the Ulster thread what our backline might look like.

No mention of Cave or Marshall in the update either. If neither are fit I think we are looking at sticking Jacob to 13.
