I think ultimately Leinster will have too much for Ulster. Don’t think there will be much more than a score in it though. I expect Ulster to really put it up to us, but think our forwards will eventually come out on top.

If you should see a ruggedly handsome rogue sporting a Monthey Rugby shirt and a Leinster beanie (basically supreme understated class), give him a warm Leinster/Ulster/Lunster/random Connacht supporter welcome and say “Welcome home to Ireland Swiwi”.

F*ck that. Typical Irish weather. Thanks to the Molloy clan for suppling a warm Leinster jacket.

    Garry wow.

Hospital pass from Byrne, but he had more than enough time to clear it

    McGraths passing is so quick

    Good response!

Physicality that was missing from Ireland at ruck time.

    Ross 'Runnig Game' Byrne.

Brilliant phase work from Leinster there, sounds like a decent atmosphere in Landsdowne for once!

Great response, we should be able to get back on top and control this now.

Two steals on the deck for Leinster so far.

Getting cagey now after that blistering start

The amount of crooked lineouts not being called this season is ridiculous

    Best gone, looked devastated

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Ahh I didn't want to Best go off like that.

How does a leinster knock on get them a penalty?

Because Ulster were offside and the ref played advantage?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,008 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Healy is always good for a dumb penalty each game

Leinster playing like Ireland at the minute

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Ulster are absolutely ferocious in defence. Haven't seen anything close to it from them all season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster are actually playing quite well, but making errors at the points scoring phases.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 70,731 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

Great stuff, Ulster are getting under their skin. Can they keep it up though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,053 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Leinster haven't settled into the game yet. Lots of nerves around the place. Ulster have nothing to lose and are playing like it. I think Leinster need a good long successful drive to get them settled.

RoL ragdolled but still forced the knock on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

I really hope the nonsense of sound effects and "hype" music after every score never slips into the Munster games. Its cringe worthy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,816 ✭✭✭accensi0n

That was a great line kick by ringrose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Some great kicks in the last few minutes. First from Ringrose and them from Byrne.

Only thing SoB has done all half is give away a silly pen.

    Leavy on pls.

Ding dong battle so far. Would be great if it stayed like this for the 80.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

Ulster attack is fluid as fùck. Deserve to be in the lead.

I've greatly admired McCloskey this season, he has unreal strength but seems to have slotted into a real leadership role with Ulster and some of his distribution play is quality. Having a big impact today, I'll stop complimenting him now!

Really depends on Ulster and if they can keep going at this level

Leinster the better team I think.

Ulster's defence has been very good and forcing Leinster mistakes.

I hope Leinster don't lose, but if we do and Darren Cave is the difference between the teams it will be absolutely hilarious. Having a great game so far, Ulster centres the better that half.

Interesting to see if Ulster can keep this up for 40 more minutes, little separating the teams so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,093 ✭✭✭Brewster

Great game! Some intensity. Gutted for Rory going off the way he did, only negative to the half. Ulster have the slight wind advantage now. Benches will be key.

I'm here (cheers awec) and it's very noticeable. Savage aggression being shown.

Leinster better going forward, making a few mistakes at crucial moments, and leaving some kicking points out there. Ulster's defence is the difference at the moment, haven't had much ball, and they're forcing points out of leinster in the leinster half with that intensity. Normally I'd say leinster to pull away in the second half but who knows with a cup derby, and a do-it-for-Rory mentality perhaps.

    Ringrose so over rated!

I've been right about sexton too. Carbery is going to be playing a massive role in the world cup. If not injury, but because of form sexton will be dropped.

    Agreed.

    Sexton is anonymous today.
