    I’m looking to buy a northern reg car & was wondering if anyone knew if the loophole off owning a northern reg car for 6 months that you can bring it for free, any advice will be great full

    If you move your normal residence from North to South and have owned the car for 6 months then you can reregister it under transfer of residence provisions.
    If you are resident in the ROI you have to pay the VRT, of course.

    The rule is that you must be moving south and your car can come too.

    You own a car in the north WHILE LIVING THERE for at least six months.

    When YOU MOVE SOUTH the car can be imported with no VRT.

    Need proper proof of living in UK and proper proof that you are moving
