It has helped me forget I have Diop and Perreira coming back into my team next week though
It has been nice not having to look at them for 2 weeks

    Don't remind me!!!

Your original team can lose value on a free hit, yes. :)

Ye thought that, but if Rashford (who I have in free hit) drops it won’t affect my value

I assume if you buy him tonight for 7.6 and he drops then when you go to sell him in the morning you will only get 7.5
You would lose the spending value of 0.1 for this week then.
I brought Valery in at 3.9 and when he went up to 4.0 it was reflected on the transfer page.....so if he went up to 4.1 I would have had an extra 0.1 to spend this week

It is effectively a one week WC so I think it will

    (A) Duffy, Lindelof and Kane

    or

    (B) Smalling, Higuain and Rashford

One has 2 defender and a striker
The other has 2 strikers and a defender ?

But still the one that doesn’t have higuain

Sorry i should have clarified that it'll be facilitated by changing duds (3.8-4.3) in the positions also.

One of Hazard or Kane has to leave my team. Hazard is massively owned by FHers so I’ll be destroyed if he scores heavily. However, neither he nor Chelsea are playing great and have blanked in 5 of the last 10 games. There is an easy replacement in David Silva which would give me 3 City attackers.

Kane is a drain on resources and one of his games is Liverpool away. However, he is capable of scoring any time and is on penalties. With the exception of Aguero, there are question marks (injury, rotation or form) around the other strikers..Lukaku, Rashford, Zaha, Batshuayi, Jimenez. Picking one is risky, picking two might be asking for trouble, especially as Kane is as nailed on as you can get.

Need to make a decision tonight.

Chelsea have been very poor recently and I really don’t want Hazard but I just can’t go without him. Those fixtures are too good and he’s too highly owned.

From the first second I hit the FH button, two weeks ago, I haven’t even tried a team with Kane. I’ve zero interest. Two very tough games and I just don’t fancy him one bit.

My only decision now is if I should drop Lindelof for Martial. I’m very tempted but it would leave me with 2m in the bank and i can’t bring myself to do that on a FH.

If you do go with Kane over Hazard I’d recommend trying to get Higuain in. I think one of Hazard or Higauin are needed.

    Hazard, no Kane:

    Kepa
    Smalling, Azpilicueta, Duffy
    Sterling, Hazard, Pogba, David Silva
    Aguero, Jimenez, Batshuayi

    Kane, no Hazard:

    Kepa
    Smalling, Azpilicueta, Duffy, Tomkins
    Sterling, Pogba, David Silva
    Aguero, Jimenez Kane

Essentially Hazard and Batshuayi vs Kane and Tomkins

    A - Lindelof, Rudiger/Luiz, Son

    Or

    B - Azpilicueta, PVA, Martial

I know it’s difficult without seeing the rest of my team but the above is the final decision I have to make.

I prefer Hazard and Batshuayi over Kane amd Tomkins. Also Kane is playing against Tomkins so you’d be hoping for no clean sheet which is something I try and avoid.

    Settled on this.

I've tried Kane-less teams, teams with Kane and Rashford, teams with just Rashford, 5-3-2's, 3-5-2's and everything in between and I'm happy with none of them as much as this one:

    Ederson
    Luiz Lindelof Schlupp Duffy
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Milivojevic
    Aguero Kane

I feel it ticks a lot of boxes.

I'm wondering the same... I've exactly enough for this 4-3-3:

    Kepa
    Laporte Smalling Schlupp Duffy
    Sterling Hazard Pogba
    Aguero Kane Batshuayi

    I don't hate it...

It's getting difficult now with all the permutations and potential price rises tonight...can't fit everyone in that I might decide I want tomorrow morning

That team seems very solid. I’ve Kane, Batshuayi and Aguero but only Sterling and Hazard in mid. Playing 5 at the back then. Don’t think I could find the funds to squeeze Pogba in.

All City cbs are fit...will Laporte play both games...

Ederson's ceiling is 12 points max...

A third City attacker could get that in one game..

I'm taking myself into buying David Silva...

    Kepa
    Azpilicueta, Laporte, Schlupp
    Sterling, Hazard, Pogba, Son
    Aguero, Rashford, Batshuayi

    Think I've settled on that.

I swapped Jimmi and Luiz for Bats and Azpi.

I think Jimmi will come back to haunt me. I'm unsure about Son. Would like another City mid, but I guess there's a good chance Laporte gets 12pts, which would be hard for Dilva and others to match. It's a safer move I suppose. And Son is so fun to own. He'll be as keen as Kane to score in the new stadium.

Any reason to go Luiz over Azpi?

I think I’m going to go ahead with the 5-2-3 of:
    Kepa
    Young Lindelof Luiz Laporte Schlupp
    Hazard Sterling
    Kane Aguero Batshuayi

Can’t squeeze Pogba in. Considered Silva but think defence is better with the extra funds. Not loving the Man Utd double up though. Would like to play Dalot but no guarantees over minutes. Also like the idea of captaining Kane as a bit of a differential and the romantic in me thinks he could do the business in the new stadium.

    Latest draft

    Foster
    Luiz Lindelof Schlupp
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Son DSilva
    Aguero Rashford

Alternative defence could be the following but not sure which to go with

    Azpi Lindelof Wan B

Why no love for Sane? I can't believe he's not in more teams.

Okay, I just checked his minutes. Really surprised by that. But you would think a DGW would be an exception...

...but I suppose City are going for the league and Pep can't afford to rest too many players...

He played 59 minutes in the last dgw
    It's just not worth it

People don’t seem too worried by this Lindelof stuff? I was gonna take him out but seeing this is making me reconsider. What’s the consensus and why?

True. Hoping Laporte plays both games. The last few times I've watched City play, he's went very close with headers, so a goal from him would be lovely.

Last question (I think) on my team remains; Luiz or Azpi? I'm leaning towards Azpi.

Azpi if you can afford him

    It’s crazy.

11th highest scoring midfielder and 21st highest scorer in the game.

Even 60 minutes, combined, against those two teams could see a big return.

Could you wish for two better defences to come on and run at ?

Both those teams likely to be 3,4 or 5 down within an hour against City.

I’m talking myself into a treble up now and sell Laporte.

Azpilicueta more likely to play 180 minutes but Luiz more likely for an attacking return.

His wife had a baby recently so I'd imagine he will join up with the team later. No reason for him not to play surely.
