Yes that too. I think head to head should take precedence over scoring difference. Too many factors affect scoring difference especially in a game like hurling where a 10% difference in how teams hurl on a given day could mean an additional 10pts for or against. Wins should definitely be 3 pts rather than 2.

This format won’t last unless there’s a bit of tweaking done, the way results have gone this year has shown some glaring flaws. Head to head can’t be applied when there’s more than two teams with the same points, a glaring flaw. In Leinster it basically came down to who hammered Carlow the most.

In my view, RTÉ and Sky Sports need to review the TV coverage rights for the end of the round robins. Both the Leinster and now the Munster championship have two critical matches running at the same time and TV viewers can only see one.

Results against Carlow ended up not making any difference, the table would have been the same if you took out all their games.

I agree, Galway were tipps biggest threat but they're out on their own now. Bonner a big loss but the tipp forwards didn't even fire today and they destroyed limerick.
