Yeah I'm saying I'd give the favs tag to KK imo, KK team is a younger average age then Tipp now.

    This again!

Just for reference: total age combined of All Ireland s/f starting 15s -

    Kilkenny 395
    Tipperary 393

So there's absolutely nothing in it. But I suppose its a bit like the fella with the reputation of the early riser and can stay in bed all day, Tipp are just considered an old team while Kilkenny are regarded as the team of fresh, young legs. It's total nonsense.

Ok what's the average age of both sides.

    Divide by 15...

Well, i've given you the combined ages above, so it's not hard to work out that the average age of the Tipperary s/f 15 will be ever so slightly lower than their Kilkenny counterparts. Tipps would be 26.2 with KK at 26.3 or thereabouts.

Between this and suggesting TJ Reid should not start, you are having a mare.

Hardly entitled to an opinion, I believe with TJ rested last weeks training he shouldn't start.

You are, but when you suggest arguably the best hurler in the country should only play a third of the most important game of the year then expect strong disagreement.

    I do like a prediction. Here's mine.

    Kilkenny 3-16 v Tipp 2-17. Lets see.

He is a year younger than Reid. Has been in the Tipp senior squad since 2008. Dont you think he needs a rest.

Seamus is 30, TJ is 32 In 2 months

Thank Christ Cody is the manager

Bring TJ on when the game opens up. Like Shane Dowling last year.

Callanan is 31 next month and I would say they have played pretty much the same number of inter county games.

    You sure you're not trolling?

3 months and Seamus is 31 next months. None of this particularly matters anyway

Seamus is 31 next month. Only 10 months younger than TJ.

Callinan looking to score a goal in every championship game this year is some going. Isn't he second on the all time goal list? Will be hard to stop him if he stays at 14 but he may be needed to win primary possession in the half forward line.

You wouldn't bet against him doing it. His goal against Wexford was fabulous. If he has a good game Tipp will probably win. KK need to keep him quite. The same for Tipp with Reid.

If anyone knows of any tickets floating around please let me know ðŸ‘

Hopefully there'll be a flood of them tomorrow and Saturday.

At this stage i'd be surprised if he didn't score a goal. I worry about Colin Fennelly doing some damage close to goal. If Tipp can stop him having a major influence and scoring a goal they'll be doing well.

To me that is also related to how you deal with Richie Hogan. He and Fennelly work very well off one another to create goal-scoring chances. As much as we will look to prevent Callinan getting isolated , and also make sure there's limited opportunities for the Tipp half forwards to run into space, sooner or later, as you say, a goal or two are likely, probably from Seamie. KK won't win the game picking off points. But still I wouldn't agree with lads saying to move TJ into full forward. Maybe for a few minutes at some stage to change things up, but the reason he's front runner for HOTY (in my opinion) is that from CF in the last two games he has been unbelievable at creating chances, finding the right pass, opening things up, dragging players out of position and freeing up space for Hogan/Fennelly to take advantage of. And as much as people have talked about the inexperience of our full back, Tipp are way less seasoned in their back six. I'm hoping that when those backs are in possession and they get both barrels from our forwards it'll be the same reaction that we saw from Limerick in the opening few minutes, where they got totally flustered. But of course they'll be ready in a way Limerick weren't.

Kilkeny to win by 2 points. TJ will accept the cup and Cody certainly won't take the limelight by mounting the steps of the Hogan Stand. Never does, never would.

You're certainly qualified to form an opinion.

You have more posted in the KK thread this last month that in the Tipp thread.

All the Tipp and kk fans who went ‘up for the match’ last night feeling good this am? ......( male version rooting out their new jerseys and fresh ‘wrangler jeans’ and semi formal shoes/new balance sneakers ) for later as opposed to the ‘finches’/avenmore ones used for last nights ‘porter’ session which commenced in rody bollands, then moves to ‘coppers’ and concluded in one of the lesson st ‘wine bars’ around an hour ago.......! Will it be the red faced ones (aka Cody) last mtach in charge having gone out with a bang or will sheedy’s men tear kk a ‘new one’ with a ten pt plus defeat...?

Massive blow to Kilkenny if Mullen is out of the game through Illness. After TJ, he has been the most prolific forward.
