Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Care to explain what Liverpool and victim complex you’re referring to???

How did Ritchie hogan get an injury to his nose?

Sickening that Galway aren’t in this. Two bang average sides.

A few teams with more reason to be annoyed to not be there than Galway who had one decent performance in the championship.

Fair play to the referee. Great courage to make that call.

    Galway bet kk.

Think Henry more afraid of upsetting KK people than telling the truth

Hogan's red card was probably merited. Conditions mitigating to an extent but intent seems to have been there on Hogan's part. Silly from him. Gonna be hard for us now. Tipp should go on to win. It will take some effort from us to deny them victory a man down.

Sheflin shouldn't be on the panel. He's far too biased. No elbow? Is he blind?

There was a directive to referees issued in May re head high challenges and that one fit a couple of the "illegal challenge" criteria

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭C__MC

    I thinks it's a red but consistency a problem
Barret has fouled all day long, no cards
John mc Garth shouldn't even be playing for his dirty swipe in semi.

Galway were very average themselves this year.

No doubt, and they aren’t there, so it’s all speculation. However they’d make short change of either side playing today based on the performances so far. Especially with the Galway special weather.

Duignan and Marty are horrendous. Duignan trying to blame the rain for Hogan deliberately elbowing Barrett in the head.. like WTF.

Lads, you can turn to the Irish commentary on RTE, even if you don't have the cúpla focail its better than Martys guff

Consistency definitely a problem. Red was the right call, but ref was letting a lot go before that. High challenges weren't even getting yellows from him earlier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 305 ✭✭copperhead

If the directive is to be followed to the letter then the tip back that gave Ritchie his nose injury should have seen the line? And yet it wasn't even a yellow!!!

His other skills are useless now. Rugby are cracking down on bad tackling as well.

And given the criticism at refs (often justified) I hope analysts praise him for a correct albeit huge call in an AI final.

I know it's the referees final call but I think it was the linesman who convinced the ref it was a red card and he was right beside the incident.

John McGrath didnt connect with Reck, Reck dived, as usual from Wexford players, John McGrath deserves to be playing. I hate Tipp but hate diving more

Kk going a great job keeping our star forwards quiet. Callanan hasn’t had only 3 touches. Hopefully we can get going now.

Ball was there - was accidental more than deliberate and I'd question the faceguard in Hogans helmet. Lot of helmets out there that have altered faceguards

Shefflin was clearly being biased and trying to defend his old teammate.

    I actually like Kilkenny.

He did connect. It was light, but he did and it was stupid when he was already on a yellow. He could've had a second yellow earlier anyway. There was another tipp player who should've had a straight red too in that match but the ref bottled it and wouldn't take the 4th officials advice or even listen to him.

In the semi final vs a very fancied Wexford, Tipp had a man sent off, and Wexford get a couple of goals to kill them off..... they're the ones in the final. So the Cats ain't dead.

But unlike Wexford Tipp seem smart enough to take points to stay safe...... and a goal or 2!!!!!!!@! As I type.
