New job starting mid-April but I forgot I have a stag party the night before

    Long story short I have been looking to transfer to another place of work for personal reasons and I heard yesterday that I have been offered a contract on the 14th of April which I immediately said yes to.

    Unfortunately I totally forgot that I am invited to a stag party (I'm a groomsman) on the 13th of April (which is in a different county and will be an overnight thing).

    I could speak to the manager and explain this situation but I don't think I should. I think I should just not go to the stag party.
