Mounted scope lamp recommendations?

I'm looking for a scope lamp, mostly for foxing and maybe rabbits. I was looking at a wildhunter predator 850. I don't see too many reviews on it. Other than that, I haven't seen too much else. My price range would max €200. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

Not a lamp per say, if we're splitting hairs, but I'm still using two off these - TX 67 & TX 67 mini.

Both very good, haven't let me down since I bought them A few years back. There are cheaper still if you import straight from China.

There are more up to date models on the web sight since I purchased the TX model so have a browse of the specs on offer.

I'm thinking of getting a smaller lense diameter for the 22 when out lamping bunnies, I don't need the distance etc for the shot and it will make the rifle more compact.

Here is a review i done on the Predator 800 few years back.

there is a new 850 model out since then which i have not tried but doubtless to say it's as good as the 800 just with more features.

A strong contender for not much money and both within your budget.

Another one i tried was the JGL lamp. It has a 170mm lamp, LED, good light, long distances, and no battery pack needed. It's also very cheap at around €50 - €55 per unit.

Problems with them include, easily break, break for no apparent reason, charger overheats, and battery pack within lamp gets dangerously overheated to the point it can melt the protective coating leading to shorting and possibly fire (as happened me).

Not an ideal review and you might wonder why i mention it. Well it taught me something i knew but started to ignore. Beware of overly cheap items.

I wouldn't go with a lamp anymore, get a good LED torch. The torches are lighter to carry, easy to fix to a scope, and you won't have the big battery either.

Probably the most popular lamp around at the minute, LED, Wireless and lasts a few hours..

Great light off it, ideal to accompany a scope mounted torch!

Dont leave it charge on its own tho, My charger over heated and started to melt, the new one works fine, but I haven't left it unattended.


On a side note.. These are damn impressive too! wired, but with a small lith ion battery you barely notice the weight.

I would definitely have to agree with this suggestion.
I also bought the headlamp with the red light and it's a great setup.
