Preacher is a worthy winner. Glad the old geezer did not win. I really disliked his song. Great seeing Stavros Flatley again. Great idea to have them doing River Dance - their version. Really like Ant an Dec's entry onto the stage - heralded by the Fake Queen and riding on two thrones. Great that Ant and Dec have gotten it together again as a duo.
    RE Stavros flatley
Isnt that what they have always done with that act?

Didn’t like either of the acts that got through. That comedian was so unfunny. And Stavros is a one trick pony.

The Roller skaters & George Sampson should have got through I think.

Loved Tape Face on AGT but that was a terrible act tonight.

Much poorer this week than last week. I didn't like Preacher, but glad he got through over Colin. If nothing else, Colin only won BGT a couple of months ago, let someone else have the limelight now!

    So! Anything else to nitpick?

Of course I'm aware that their original act was based on Irish dancing, but nothing as elaborate as this time. Overall, it was a lovely production, IMO. Loved the solo flute player at the start and the whole team of dancers that accompnied them. Can you give an example of any other act that radically changed their act from what they did originally?

I'm delighted that Stavros Flatley got the Golden button.

    Okay??????

Er chill out...it wasn't nit picking I am just saying it is pretty much the same thing they do every time with some bells and whistles, to me it is a one joke act, no problem if some people like it, I don't.

Change of act...look at tape face on Americas got talent, or even the skating act they did totally different things on that show.

I don't think it's helping this series that the name of the winner has leaked before it started on TV...

I saw the originals of those two acts you mention, gmisk. They are still doing basically the same thing as before, with slight changes. Tape Face still has the same gimmick of tape over his mouth and black staring eyes. The roller skaters still go round in circles. Stavros Flatley have not tried to convince anybody into thinking that their act is anything more than a joke act. Their presentation via production was much upgraded, this time round. You've only got to hear the audience response to realize how beloved they are and deserving of the Golden Buzzer. It's your choice to like them or not.

Just caught up last night. Not a great show, I thought.
The comedian didn't make me even smile. I'm glad Colin didn't get any further. I liked the little girl magician.

I'm not a long term watcher of BGT so even the ones that have featured previously on BGT, it is my first time seeing some of them.

I didn't really get why Simon raved about Stavros Flatley. I laughed at Tape Face but that was more so to do with David Walliams being part of the act. :D
    I enjoy his antics.

Granted, the little girl magician was excellent. Seems she is going from strength to strength.

Just watched and the read the thread
    Suprised
I thought it was an excellent night and really liked Preacher

    I cried a little
    What’s wrong with me

My eldest son was 9 at the time though and I was watching it with the other lad who is now 9 !!!! So there was that in it and seeing the stavros young lad all grown up

If he has child and they bring him out to join in they could win it

That was awful to watch but incredible at the same time! He should be through, him and the Filipino dance crew have been brilliant. Pity only one of them will get through.

I see a home town golden buzzer tonight unfortunately

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,357 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

    I am a bit behind....the comedian meh
The dance crew from the Philippines were great fun I have to say though.

They were like a pop act you would see in break on xfactor...but what is with their bizarre faux American accents when speaking?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,357 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

My dog absolutely loved the weird singer guy! There were constant head tilts...stares at me as if to say are you hearing this?

I thought he was supposed to be a comedian.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

The sand woman is the best talent ever in any of these shows.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,027 ✭✭✭✭anewme

    The sand artist is AMAZING.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Mersey girls in the final and the best dance act from Lebanon not there who were so much much better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,707 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

They are just rubbish, all they did was twirl around with handkerchiefs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,027 ✭✭✭✭anewme

I've not liked Mersey Girls up to now, but I got it tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,707 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Crazy people but that was a bit messy, the spinny thing is far better to watch

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Alexa is just an amazing talent along with those dogs.
    It was insanely good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,707 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Stavros Flatley very short again, think its because they are so unfit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,707 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

That was over before it began
Think they're splitting up before he has a heart attack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,027 ✭✭✭✭anewme

    Imagine doing that at 85!

    Love them.

    What a beautiful lady.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Only one good act in the top 3, the super fans...super biased...

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,756 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

The top 2 is funnier than any of the comedians.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,707 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Cant believe Alexa didn't even make it to the top 3

I read the spoiler last week...so no surprise. But they are not good at voting in the UK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,357 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

I am a bit behind in this episode.

The Canadian magician was utterly rubbish...I'm sorry but....no.

The sand art woman is genuinely hugely talented.

The American comedian was a complete disaster, he literally died on his @rse!

Mersey girls meh...the act from the lebanon were much better and more original.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,429 ✭✭✭CH3OH

The great british public have an amazing ability at not spotting talent.
Apart from the sand girl, the other 2 in the top 3 were rubbish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,027 ✭✭✭✭anewme

The sand art woman is amazing.....the other two in that top 3....nope.
Twist and pulse deserved it over Stavros flatley

I thought the dog act deserved top 3 tbh.

This series was kind of ruined for me as the winner was leaked before it started!
