Is Limerick City Centre going backwards?

3 or 4 units now closed on Cruises street the food stalls at Penney’s half gone and the other ones only open part time The Milk Market getting a 24 hour shop/pizza place Opera Centre no work done Is the city going backwards?

Even direct trains to Dublin via Limerick Junction would be something. I detest having to change trains there. Not to mention those crappy commuter cars that they use to run that connection. There's only a handful of direct Limerick - Dublin trains every day which is pathetic when you consider that it's one of their best performing routes.
