Does anybody else see the irony of this man calling for something to be done to make the roads safer in Kerry!

He says the deer have taken over Kerry. That’s good news compared to who seemed to be running it before.

You couldn't find a clip with tricycles and wooden rifles could you ?

I've heard from a reliable source that the plan is to send the ISIS stewardess coated in beech tar, apple scent and a Khalid Kelly jeep plastered with pictures of Bambi's mother....

    Yup.

As good as him and his Brother protesting water meters/charges when they are raking in millions by working for Irish water.

As for the deer. Its like everything else. One person says there is a problem, another says they are scarce.

It won't be settled or known until NPWS actually do something like say a census and confirm herd numbers and not just in Kerry, but nationwide. Even a rough estimate.

Didn't NPWS conduct a cull earlier this year in the Killarney national Park?

No idea lad, if they did then perhaps we can find out the numbers and see if this "plague" is as bad as the Healy-Rae's claim.

I still say a national census is needed. For the same reasons. Put an end to notions of plagues of deer in some areas and a drought in others.

120 deer have been culled and the shooting is being carried out by National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) staff

More than 120 deer have been culled since January 2018 – and a further cull will commence in the New Year – according to the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
