Right except they’re two wins away from qualification in the league?

So they’re two wins away in both and 3 wins from a trophy in one and prioritise the other?

Yeah. And getting into the Heineken Cup is absolutely the priority.

I imagine Connacht's goal here is to break into Europe and try to cement themselves there. They know they're not going to be competitive to win it anytime soon but if they can become a fixture it would be a huge boost to the province.

This is more important than winning a trophy nobody cares about.

Compare Zebre away and Cardiff home versus Sale Sharks away and La Rochelle away and figure out the probability

Sorry but what is D’Arcy talking about. It’s an arm!

This is quite possibly one of the worst games I've ever watched. The handling errors....

    What was Blade thinking

Crazy. Though De Klerk was never 10m back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,170 ✭✭✭testtech05

Caolin has a habit of doing that from quick taps. Not sure they were back 10m though.
Another thing that annoys me is refs with lads who are obviously off their feet and holding onto the ball to slow it down. Ref tells them 2/3 times to let the ball go then plays on. It give the defence so much time to get set. Just give the bloody pen

Yeah but De Klerk painted enough of a good picture that he had retreated. Got a try anyway

And blade tapped the ball behind reynals back so it was hard for him to get a full picture of the timing

Andy friend looks like a very angry man. Shot our selves in the foot too many times this evening

Good effort by Connaught but it'll fall short it seems.

Jesus looks gruesome for Bealham. Nearly getting sick with the pain.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,170 ✭✭✭testtech05

That looks nasty whatever happened bealham he was on a bad way going off. Getting sick etc....
What was the ref at letting sale play on before they left the pitch

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,050 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

End the game for God's sake. Could be down to one fit senior tighthead.

Ref has been a disaster. Really poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,293 ✭✭✭MarinersBlues

    What is Raynal at?

Don't think he impacted the result directly but his decisions were baffling a lot of the time.

Not our best game. Not the ref's best game either. Can see how Muldoon hoodwinked him alright. Injuries are a disaster. Finlay looked in a very bad way.

Yes, it looks like a bad injury. Hopefully he's OK.

Lads what happened to Finlay?? There didn't look to be any contact with him? And there was blood when he was going off.

Shocking evening with injuries and performance. Hope it doesn't f up our season

He just left in ambulance, he is ok, pain treatment wise, giving thumbs up and chatting, but seems to be a very serious injury..... Not going to say any more cause I'm not reporting on what I saw from looking into an ambulance

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Raynal wasn’t the difference in result but for the show he put on with Finlay at the end, a demotion to the sideline is more than deserved

Friend said Jacks bicep was the issue but he should be alright.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,456 ✭✭✭Wegians89

Friend said post game that Finlay hurt his hand don’t know if it’s fractured or not but it oooked bad Carty hurt his bicep and friend said they’re hopeful he’ll be alright

Hopefully it's not too bad. Things can look bad initially and turn out to be less serious after.
If it is bad could we get a medical joker in if McCoy is out for a bit too ?

Hardly ever watch them but they didn't show up last night and had no answer to anything Sale were doing, and they weren't really three scores better overall. Some shocking decision making at times and some awful kicking errors. Ref wasn't the greatest but that can't be used as an excuse.

I wasn't saying the ref had a bearing on the result. He just seemed to have no control
