    Hi folks,

I was on the website looking at a Philips 50" at about £420, but in a bad case of not-much-more-itis, the 55"s are catching my eye.

It will be used to replace the second TV so mostly will be used to watch standard TV and Plex media.

I would really appreciate your opinion on the following, please, as to which is the better set (I was leaning more towards the LG but what do I know!).

    - LG 55UK6400PLF @ £449
    - Philips 55PUS6703 @ £499 (£529 but with the £30 off code)
    - Hisense 55A6200 @ £449

Delivery would be to just outside Waterford city and would the usual 6 year warranty be included?

    Thanks.

    C.

    Hi colhickey,

The three are all great TVs but I would lean more towards the Philips 55PUS6703. The Philips panel is better, using local dimming as opposed to an edge light. It has a bit of a clunky smart hub (it still has all the usual apps) but for general viewing you'd get better brightness and contrast with the Philips panel.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David
