Since downloading that new iOS update both my iPad and iPhone are showing up websites as not secure. One such example is Met Eireanns website.
Other websites too which before we’re fine.

Anybody else having the same issue?

I can't see it on Met Eireann, but is this what you are seeing in general? Apple have added a "not secure" flag in iOS 12.2 in the address line in the browser to tell you when you are not on a secure (https) site.

I wonder if only an Ipad issue, I just checked just now all show the locked padlock when browsing https like Met.ie or banking websites.

I'm getting it on my Mac. ESPN.com for example is showing as 'not secure'. But is there any issue if you're not interacting with the site, i.e. entering personal details? Or does it mean it's susceptible to malware etc?

No issues if your not entering personal information.

I think your issue is different that OP, in the case of ESPN is related to the website, had a quick look at the Sign Up button, it looks like ESPN might be owned by Disney as when you click on the Sign UP from the ESPN it opens a new frame that loads a page hosted by Disney, the browser can see that the page is secure by ESPN but the form is hosted by another domain so it gives you warning for that reason.
