Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I am looking at a 2015 Ford C Max for the family,
Has anyone any advice as to the concerns to look out for?
    It's a 1.6 diesel titanium model,
    Thanks

I would assume thats the 1.6 PSA diesel unit that Ford have used for many years in all their cars.

I used to own 2 x Focus with it in.

Apparently if can be a troublesome engine if its not regularly serviced and the correct oil used. One of my Focus had an EGR issue after 3 years use, caused by DPF.

So I'd check its service history and make sure all done on time. What sort of mileage is on it, if it has been doing a lot of short city centre driving and little mileage over its lifetime, it might be more susceptible to having these sorts of issues.

I believe the psa system needs to be serviced and oil changed every 15k, Has 80k on it now so it has been driven a good bit, more than a trip to the local school or shop I'd say.
Thanks for the info and reply

Try and get the newer 1.5 TDCi engine especially in 120bhp form. It came out in 2015 in the C-Max and is a better unit than the PSA derived 1.6 litre.

    For example:
