    At least 2 boardsies have gotten the ferry to wales, and come back in the same day I think for Audaxes

    I've done it, but am from the area so was staying around anyway.
    I'm not sure a ferry would get you there for the start time (I may be wrong though). Having said that, it does start & finish right next to the port.
    Not sure what distance you're looking to do, but ferry's back to Ireland are usually around 2 / 3pm so you might need to factor that in. Think you need to sign-in the day before too
