Poor from Cahill there on that red, could he not try for a snooker or leave Maguire in trouble!?

Would love to see Cahill go through

Outrageous fluke by Cahill on the last red, and he's ahead 11-10.

Look at how annoyed Maguire is. :D:D:D

Does he hold his hand up for flukes? He's had a few and I've not seen him do it yet but maybe I'm just missing it

If Maguire had a better temperament surely he would have won more ranking events than he has, because he has the talent. It's a real weakness of his.

Dominic Dale was saying the other day that all that getting agro with himself thing is just his way of getting into a match. Hyping himself up kinda thing. Well whatever I never enjoy watching him play for that reason and I've always though he's overrated. Some other commentator was saying he's as good as Ding when he's amongst the balls for example. I don't think so.

Haven't seen him do it either now that you mention it.

Waistcoat foul? Surely not? Looks to be plenty of distance between waistcoat and pink there on the replay.

Ref hardly called it for nothing...

That foul could cost him the match..

No chance did his pel hit it. It's clear as day not a foul from the 2 angles shown. No idea what Jan seen.

    Good justice on the black.

    It wasn't a foul off 2 angles. Commentator's couldn't see it.

No need for a slow motion. It either hit or didn't. Should be visual from second angle. If Jan could see it from where he was the second angle would of shown it.

    Maguire doesn't deserve this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,259 ✭✭✭waynescales1

I just don’t believe this. Great red, flicks the 2 reds off the cushion then in off into the middle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 407 ✭✭Tomas81

    Now go James do this

  • Registered Users Posts: 407 ✭✭Tomas81

    Yeeessssssssss

This is the worst exhibition of shot potting I've seen

What an insane frame this is.

Neither of them deserved that frame.

Hoping Cahill can force a deciding frame here.

I'd say his head is gone.

Still very enjoyable despite the poor snooker and missed pots. Very dramatic and unpredictable. Huge pressure.

Hopefully Cahill overcomes here but that last Frame play would of broke then most experienced men.

    Gas stuff.

12-12. Cahill has to be favorite, Maguire is a mess, he can’t make 8.

Maguire just cannot handle the pressure.

Watching the last frame on the bus :D come on James!

I've no sound, what's happening with Jan!?

  • Registered Users Posts: 407 ✭✭Tomas81

That's probably the end of the match. Poor safety by Cahill.

    Yep Maguire through

Well, that's Maguire through 13-12, but somehow I don't think this will be Cahill's last trip to Sheffield. Very impressive debut.

Maguire wins his 2nd final frame decider in a row after losing his previous 5 at the crucible. Delighted for him but he needs to improve a lot to go any further

Not really watching long sessions this year, half hour /45 mins here and there but have seen a lot today and am surprised by the small amount of kicks I've seen. Have they come up with a magic cure?

There's a new chalk a lot of the players are using that seems to be eliminating a lot of the kicks. Only downside is its expensive, 20 yo-yos a stick apparently, so a few skinflints (eg Trump) are sticking with the old cheapo triangle stuff. They do say you tend to get the odd miscue with the new stuff, but i think that threat diminishes once you adapt to it.

Defending champion Mark Williams in trouble now. Gilbert leads him 11-8.

Loving the competition this year. I wonder Where Matthew Stevens is this year.? Is he off boil

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,140 ✭✭✭Onecoolcookie

Anyone got a decent stream for the Williams match?

Was watching in on BBC and then it switched off...

Stevens is now down to 48 in the world, so had to play in the qualifiers, where he was beaten in the third round by Tian Pengfei.

Don't have any streams, sorry. But Gilbert has won this frame with a 139 break to go 12-8 up at the interval. Looks very ominous for Williams now.

On the other table, Trump leads Ding 3-1 at the midsession interval.

If you have a betting account, powers or betfair or one of those, you can watch it free on their sites. Otherwise eurosport player only option i think.

Ding very slack so far, should be 2-2 at worst, wonder if that will be story of the match! Imagine Mark will just go for his shots now, devil may care time, can be dangerous in that kind of mood but surely too much to do here.

Can't see it happening for Mark Williams tonight. He's not playing well, was in hospital yesterday, and generally looks like he's not interested in being there.

Okay thanks for clarifying. Unusual not to see him
