Guys in front just hit their second shots, so they are about 5 mins down on group in front.

Frankie hit into the patrons behind the last par 3 thatd take a bit to clear and take a drop and then take the shot

You sort of get away with most bad shots here

    Funny course

Molinari's long game looking ropey, he's done well to only be +1

They are heading for a 5 hour round.
No excuse for play as slow as that.
There's no rough, and they have people to look for their balls unlike amateurs.

Number 8 gonna be interesting with Frankie in the bunker. Highly limits the chances of a birdie anyway

Frankie is letting players back into this.

    Thanks for useless stat

What’s up with you today? This is the way it is going to be for the full round, if you keep up with the group in front, that’s all you can do. There was a few mins delay for club selection, Tiger in the woods, Frankie going over the green, it’ll happen to the other groups too. 3 balls takes away a little from the spectacle and slows things down, big deal. No need to get so prickly about it.

You sort of get away with most bad shots here

    Funny course

Greens and approaches were always the challenge in Augusta. Lot's of elevated undulating greens on offset approaches. Rough is minimal but with the speed and undulations of the greens, any small loss of ability to spin the ball makes it tough. Not going to make you look foolish but enough to make it a test. on shots into the green. Course was soft today and yesterday but peak speeds can reach 15ft on the stimp on a flat area, add the ridiculous slopes and that number becomes insane. I've putted on a course with greens hitting 13 and they were like putting on glass.

Everything becomes difficult from iron shots in to chipping to putting and relatively straightforward shots on a slow course become almost impossible, the tolerance is so small between a good shot and a bad shot.

Bad shot there on 10 from Koepka.

It's gas watching the 'patrons' run to look at the ball in the pine needles. I think Tiger is the only black person on the whole golf course.

Another test for Frank. Tiger's putt putting the pressure on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,350 ✭✭✭✭Mushy
