Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

was looking at the p30 pro yesterday...a bit smitten...but i cant get my head around life without a headphone jack.

i keep thinking an adapter sticking out of the port in a jacket pocket puts too much strain on the port.

then a double adapter for listening to earphones in bed while charging.

of course i could go bluetooth earphones...but cheaper ones only last a couple of hours playback....and does the bluetooth on run phone battery down much ?....and its another thing to remember to charge each night....upstairs and think 'bollix...earphones are downstairs in coat pocket' :)

anyway ...my question is...to those with phones without a headphone jack....how did you find the transistion ?....advantages / disadvantages for you ?

i'd be coming from a samsung s8+ btw....and i suppose the camera toys...night sight, zoom...are only reasons making me think of the p30 pro, and it is nice looking......might wait to see their respective note phones though.

Hi I have a pixel 2 with no earphone jack either. I bought the adapter in Currys and its perfectly fine. I think its handier messing around with charging earphones

I've had a mi6 for a couple of years now and it's been fine. No difference really if you just leave the adaptor attached to the headphones all the time although I use Bluetooth earphones now most of the time.

Phones charge so fast now too so I never really need to have both plugged in at the same time.

It seems like headphone jacks will eventually be phased out completely so you'll have to take the plunge sooner or later. It wouldn't be an issue for me when buying a new phone anyway.
