I much preferred it when Cork were wedded to the strategy of being an embarrassment.

I dont like this new departure

I can only imagine the cost of going to a game in Croker for Cork and Tyrone fans. Diesel up and back would be €40-50, ticket €35-40, some food and other bits needed €20. Crazy stuff. And that's without bringing the kid/s and missus. Small fortune.

They could only be successful at that for so long.

We need to campaign for Counihan's return.

The croke park games aren't really working out crap attendances and no atmosphere!

In a review of the super 8 there should be home, away and designated neutral ground with around 30k capacity.

Croke Park is the best place in the world when full. But it’s painful watching these types of games here.

It’s too long a road at this stage of the championship and expensive for families to follow. I like the group concept but better off having groups at the beginning of the championship not the business end it totally devalues the game.

They can have Fitzmaurice- I'll drop him down.

Maybe we need to get Kerrigan and a few more back on last seasons, ahem, bulking programme

Too right. Same on our side. Can't let the other 5 be getting notions. Sorry, I mean 11. :P

The women's finals are putting the croke park "super 8s" attendances to shame.

I really hope cork win this, for the sake of football
    Tyrones antics are horrible

They were selling Upper Tier Cusack tickets for tomorrow so I presume crowd will be bigger.

Hope so anyway as last year's Super 8 experience in Croke Park was far from super.

Which antics? Like that high tackle around Harte's neck just before McCann's point?

I'm accused of being blinkered when the Princes play (cos I am :))but cmon, take off the glasses.

Dick Clerkin making out as if this game will go on for the rest of the evening - announcing that the subs would be effective for the "last twenty minutes" at 59 minutes.

    Constant diving; it's getting tired.
Did you see the filth they produced in the SF donegal in cavan
See mc curry in the first half today.
Cant wait for Dublin or Kerry to beat them.

Hard on Cork but they went way over what anyone expected of them could be one to watch in national league next year.

Time for a kicked goal to be worth 4 pts :)

I haven't noticed anything at all tbh. I missed whatever it was in the first half that McCurry was meant to have done.

That Cork keepers shirt is a thing of beauty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 68,838 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

I'd rather Tyrone go forward than Cork. Not up to it in the Super 8's.

Its better then Martin mc hugh on the radio spouting that Connolly could be a sweeper for Dublin

Good game but result never in doubt
Cork have improved but moral victories ain't much use

Looks like a damp squib of a super 8 campaign again. A Donegal win tomorrow and we have to wait 2 weeks for 4 games where all at stake is who plays who in the semis, and two games completely meaningless.

What was moral about Cork? They couldn't defend a healthy lead and never looked like they would in the second half. No fan of Tyrone but they deserved that.

Tyrone are just pure muck. No wonder they have no fans there. How could you pay to watch that style of football.
Tyrone football is just muck! Delighted to see them getting beaten

    These aged well. :)
