I'm very surprised how bad Donegal are too. You'd not realise they are playing for their summer here

Neither team wants to put this game to bed ffs!

Donegal need a goal. Game over I reckon.

Donegal have scored about 1 point from their last 10 or 11 chances.
Brutal stuff and only down by 3.

Mayo are the luckiest team in Ireland outside of the final.
This kind of thing happens to them constantly.

    7 mins!!

Murphy is some player, I feel bad for him not to have any quality around him

Long road home for Donegal beckons. Thought they were better than that. Two awful teams today.

Donegal making a balls of this. Should be ahead. Mcbrearty gone missing.

They were lucky with the penalty. Mayo shot a lot of wides too, Mayo better side overall but neither at their best.

The white hot heat of battle has exposed Donegal weaknesses. Also exposed the unfairness of the super 8s.

Mayo deserved winners. No doubt. Donegal a shambles. Think they believed their own hype.

Championship better for Mayo in it.

So if all goes to plan Kerry Tyrone and Dublin Mayo. Didn't think be getting that!

Got that one badly wrong. Mayo by a mile the better team, absolutely awful from Donegal, woeful performance.

If ever a saying held true, 'you have nobody to blame but yourselves' does just that in the Donegal dressing room. Architects of their own dismissal from the competition.
The one game where they had to perform and they didn't. Hard to explain.

Well done to Mayo they well deserved their 4 point winning margin, defended and attacked better than Donegal and got more of an impact from their bench.

Donegal haven't reached AI semi final since 2014 and where playing their league football in Div 2 this spring and you could see why this evening, they were simply talked up too much and have a lot to learn if they are to reach the heights of Jim McGuinness again.

Fair play to Mayo won that game by winning the battle & keeping scoreboard ticking over.

The heat of that battle could still be in some players legs next Saturday evening. Only time will tell, enjoy the taste of victory tonight!

Talked up by an increasingly desperate media, not by anyone associated with Donegal. Ever since the Tyrone match, the aim has been to reach a semi final, and that would have been a good year. Fell short today, Mayo deserved it

Still the guts of a very good team there, harsh lesson today

Drew with a Kerry team that slaughtered Mayo. Vagaries of sport.

Shot selection from donegal in 2nd half was atrocious

You make your own luck, as they say.

    Well done Mayo. Great win

It was a match Kerry had to win though or they were facing possible elimination. Mayo knew they had Meath and home game after so didn't need to show hand, also Mayo had played 4 games in 4 weeks at that point.

O'Sheas, Moran, Cillian O'Connor, Doherty, McLoughlin, Boyle, Keegan, Barrett, Higgins. I can't think of a group of players with such longevity at top level in recent times.

Individual battles lost. 4 different scorers. Lowest of year. Physicality mayo were superior. Everything these young guys learned in training went out the window when pressure was applied.
