Bye bye Cillian... Irelands most unlikeable footballer.
Top scorer of all time my ***.... most undeserved accolade.

Your aversion to the top scorer in championship history being called the top scorer in championship history is pretty bizarre.

    Football has been ruined.

Dublin did well this year vs us in the league THIS year ye! We were down to 14 men for 20nins and knocked you out of potentially winning the league .

Anything can happen in a final but dubs look unstoppable!

Looking forward to people bigging up a "competitive" final :pac:

The Dubs will win absolutely pulling up, and the dominance is here to stay for years yet

    What an outfit

They got completely outplayed in the first half by a team that shouldn't be here.

Unstoppable? Constant pressure and they will fold.

That interview with O'Callahan was pointless - just the rehashing of the same few lines that Gavin trots out

To be honest why are people shocked Mayo are no longer a contender they lost against Roscommon hammered by Kerry fell over the line against Armagh. Totally overrated coming into this game

After spending 35 minutes stopping Dublin unleashing, they just stood back and let them do it for 10 minutes.

    Desperate stuff from Mayo.

Mayo made Dublin look like amateurs there. Referee kept it at a 2pt lead.

Rte still bigging up Dublin after that half. Unbelievable.

Amazing how this noisy poster disappeared for the whole second half!

You're level of delusion and support for your own county is both remarkable and admirable but neither Kerry or Tyrone have a single hope. It will be a record score to win a final and completely embarrassing for Kerry or Tyrone

Jesus christ, that was just beautiful. This team just keeps on finding different ways of making me fall more in love with them, and the game.

Brolly is right. Unprecedent in the game. Never seen the likes of their efficiency and refusal to panic.

Maybe dublin win by less than 10? *gasp*

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,388 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Well done to Dublin, second half was superb, accurate and some shooting, great scores, great game management too it must be said, holding on to possession and tiring the opposition forcing them to loose their cool and all notion of discipline. To be honest I wasn’t impressed with some of the Mayo carry on, some nasty sly fouling, kneeing Dublin players on the ground, high tackles...should have been another red but the ref was obviously loathe to go down that road.

Dublin handing out 10+ point drubbings game after game is depressingly familiar and boring. Football is knackered.

Yeah they're due an off day

We are lucky to be alive to witness the greatest team ever to play the game.

A mere 9 point win would be gripping. Imagine the tension.

Unbelievable second half from Dublin, thoroughly deserved their win. The goals were a killer, but in truth they outplayed Mayo in every way after halftime.

Still an unbelievable year from Mayo, given how unpromising it seemed in the beginning. Even when it's as hard to watch as it was this evening, it's still great to be a Mayo supporter. The green and red emojis say it all really :D:mad:

A competitive game every now and then would be nice. Them being so overwhelmingly superior to all other teams is somehow not interesting.

Between today and the super 8's, football is finished. No disputing Dublin's class, Mayo made a mess of their chances as well.
No one outside of Dublin will be watching it soon. It’s an absolute procession to the final every year.

Its not Dublin’s fault but the championship has become a joke. They can’t help their population and they were hardly going to say no to the financial doping from the GAA.

I hope they hammer whoever they play in the final just in the hope it brings about change

If you can’t see the footballing quality then you can’t. It whinging is not an answer.

The hurling lad. Hopefully more counties switch the focus to hurling and makes that even more competitve.

I don't think anyone is denying that Dublin are good. They are pointing out that it is boring.

Brolly is right. Unprecedent in the game. Never seen the likes of their efficiency and refusal to panic.
They know that they only really need to, at the very worst, keep within a point or two at half time. They'll up a few gears for 15 minutes and the game is over.
Dublin scored 2-6 in the first 15 minutes of the second half (more than half their final total). They only scored 1-2 in the last 25 minutes. It's frightening what they could do if they actually turned it on for 40-50 minutes.

Sick of gaa football watching these 1 sided games. It’s the me for Limerick vs Dublin, 1 team with sticks and the ball is the size of a yellow melon. That is the only competitive game for Dublin.

Did James Horan bring Tommy Lyons on to make the half time team talk? Jesus!
