Some amount of steps for the Donegal goal.

He was dropping it onto his foot on the 4th or 5th step to shoot and was fouled, ball bounced on the ground and he finished. Didn’t over carry.

Bumper crowd in Croke Park to see the foregone conclusion.

Like the Tyrone game final scoreline doesn't reflect just how dominant Donegal were

40k+ they're saying on RTE. Better than expected.

It shows the size of croke park when it’s not even half full.

And clearly had another gear too. Impressed with Donegal.

If the game was tighter and they needed more scores, there were at least 3/4 points in the second half where they had a good sight of goal and could easily have took a shot, but fisted over the bar instead. They were in cruise control pretty much the whole second half.

If meath keep it to less than a 10 point loss, they'll be doing reasonably well

Sad state of affairs when you can't get too excited about a Dublin v Meath Leinster final because it's a foregone conclusion.

Best thing you could hope for is for Meath to come firing out of the blocks here and make it a hectic, competitive start. Anything more would be a welcome surprise.

It’s damage limitation for Meath today.

Defenses on top so far, 5 minutes in and no scoring, little in the way of opportunity either

The meath full back is playing well

Rochford was a huge addition to Donegal
Excellent coach with a great tactical brain
Pity he wasn’t part of Horans backroom team .......

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,392 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

GREAT bit of defensive play at both ends there

If Meath get as many goal chances as Kildare did, I think this game could be interesting. Kildare could easily have had 3 with a clinical goal scorer in the team.

F**k it. Meath to win by a point.

McStay reckons the tackling is "crispy"...

Meath have come out like 5 furlong sprinters.

Hope they stay the 3 miles.

Dublin buildup play is slack and slow,

Not a sniff of a score for Dublin in 10 mins. Really good harassing from Meath.

Meath full back line winning everything here

Hopefully Rochie will be involved with the Mayo set up at some stage again.

Wonder what's the last Dublin game where there wasn't a point in the first 10 minutes

  • Registered Users Posts: 36,341 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Dublin looking very lax. A lot of dirty petrol in there.

Christ thats an awful kickout, free score

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

    That's a feckin Junior C kickout there

    Strike forwards......Jesus

Meath showed well in the first ten minutes but really basic errors are killing them.

Their forwards seem to have butter fingers

Ridiculous decision from the ref to throw the ball in, dublin player wouldn’t get out of the way
