One point is shocking from Meath

Time for **** loads of rule changes, Dublin and Meath are ruining this sport

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,380 ✭✭✭STB.

Hahaha AIG ad just on there finished with "AIG - supporting equality in sport."

While their sponsorship is creating a dominate force killing all opposition.

I hear they are growing them in a lab in China. Expensive but worth it.

The worrying thing re quality football is no matter what format the championship is going to take Meath and Dublin could play each other (both Div 1 teams now)

The GAA will have a tough job to make it exciting

The weather is a levelller. Meath are not closing the gap on Dublin.

The country isn’t closing the gap on Dublin.

They're a business. Why would they sponsor a team where their logo wouldn't be seen? That isn't how business works.

47k, most of which at ht might be regretting paying in today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 36,341 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

47k apparently. Not bad on a wet day for a game that was supposed to be a foregone conclusion.

It's not good but it's just so strange it's managing to be interesting.

Hopefully McCarthy isn't too badly hurt.

Spillane talking out of both sides of his mouth. One moment saying it's a great game (despite only 6 scores) and then saying the dubs are only playing in second gear.

Keeps the provincials alive I suppose for another while

Was listening Ulster champ on the radio and first thing the commentator said when the whistle blew was "And people say the provincials are dead".

Same thing when Paddy McBrearty came on, talking about it meaning so much.

The provincials are dead. We're almost in July and there's been **** all good games.

    Yep, just keep changing everything.
Moaning clowns sitting on their fat arse are ruining this sport.
    Non stop moaning.

Ulster and Connacht havent been to bad in general

Meath to their credit and defended very well and have held their own in midfield, just a shame they can't score to save their lives today.

And the Munster final was enjoyable last night. I find this Leinster final interesting probably because i expected Dublin to be out of sight by half time.

    wha?

Do you want it in a different language?

You take it as an insult against Dublin. Its not, currently its just the lay of the land.

Taking everything as equal, this is exactly how things should be playing out.

For Dublin its the equivalent of shooting fish in a barrell. Can you understand how the imbalance kills interest?

Completely accept theres not alot that can be done about geography. But financial advantages can be curbed to stop this imbalance from widening even more.

Yes, because writing big fûck off Bank drafts is the overriding influence on who wins the All Ireland. All amateur players, just like the opposition, who train at by and large public facilities, one a college of which I use and an awful lot of non Dublin GAA players use too, so if we are to penalize Dublin out of begrudgery then it’s only fair to penalize the other counties who use it too, or is it case of denying the Dubs the opportunity to win at any cost or justification ;)

Meath panicked first ball, another wide

He’s saying AIG don’t care if it’s fair or not, they just want their logo seen and Dublin jersey is the best place to do that.

Nor should they. For the same reason that whoever is on Man City's jerseys doesn't give the same money to Luton Town to put it on theirs instead. Not good business.

    Another wide for meath.

Imagine the howling in the studio if an ulster final was 5 ,1 at half time

Silly free given away by McCauley

Cork played to win last night and will look back on all the chances they wasted. Meath are playing to save face but the longer they are in this game they might get a bit more belief and start to kick scores.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,392 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Bit of a stupid challenge there by MDM with the opposition players back to goal.

Their decision making is so poor, there was an easy pass on there, instead he snatched at it
