You'd be better off with Bishop Brennan taking the frees.

    Black card surely?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,031 ✭✭✭Patser

Well that's Meaths point for the 2nd half done then.

    Come on the **** meath.

Meath have had plenty ample possession in the second half....

Fr Jack half sober would do a better job.

The problem is they're doing damn all with it

Feels like the next 10 minutes will be Dublin going through the motions and Meath hitting more awful wides, then in the last 15 Dublin will up the gears and blitz them with 1-5 or something

Thank god for the hurling finals next weekend that’s all I will say!!
Yeah the sport about 8 counties take seriously. Yawn

It's a strange game because everyone knows the end result even though Dublin are not miles ahead.

Dublin are playing in second gear. It's like your auld lad letting you score a goal when you were a child.

I hate this advantage rule. If you get a clear shot away, it should be advantage over. But he missed, so gets a second chance

Yeah the sport about 8 counties take seriously. Yawn

After watching this game, I reckon the local Junior B hurling championship would be more exciting honestly

Why wasn't that a black card for the Dublin player earlier? He stopped a goal scoring chance

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,392 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Far too many cynical fouls from Meath, in fairness it’s a struggle to get near the Dubs but it’s not helping the game as a spectacle.

    Meath beat themselves today

Yeah the sport about 8 counties take seriously. Yawn

Even the football Super 8s struggles to have 8 real contenders

Yeah I thought so too. Was that not the whole reason the rule was brought in, after Sean Kavanagh did something similar a few years back?

Says it all about the hurling snobs, have to head to the football thread and brag about how great hurling is if the football is bad. Shame half the country doesn't even play it.

If they were any closer then Dublin would just up the gears and go ahead further.

Meath have twice as much scored in the second half.

If I was a Dublin supporter there’s not a hope in hell I’d be happy without today’s game either.

Shows all ya know really considering nearly every single county takes part in either the all ireland, joe mcdonagh, christy ring, nicky rackard and lory magher cups....

Theres about 10 teams in the hurling champ at all fella. Minority sport.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,510 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

McCaffery is a fantastic player, but he fouls the ball every time he gets it. Just watch him, he takes about 11 or 12 (short) steps to get his speed up every time, but rules of the game don't often apply to star players.

For a minority sport it’ll be mad to see a bigger attendance in croker next week
