I'm looking at buying some land in Meath that is zoned “A1”-To protect and enhance the amenity of developed residential communities. Its not local needs only. Has anyone else been down this route. Is planning permission almost a given once you submit something suitable. I'm not currently in the country so i cant arrange a pre planning meeting with the council.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

No, far from it, especially with Meath County Council.

Get someone to act on your behalf as Meath can be quite tricky with how they want the site developed, and in particular, the design of the house.

The good thing is that they have a good design document on their website.
