Just got an email from Amazon re more PS5 stock for those still looking:

‘The Sony PlayStation 5 will be available for order again on Amazon.co.uk on 19 November 2020 after 12:00 noon GMT. Stock is limited.

We will make every effort to deliver all orders as soon as possible. If you order, we will email you with an estimated delivery date. However, this may be subject to change.‘

Some suggestion that they were with UPS rather than DPD but doesn't make sense that they were released early.

I'm taking those reports with a grain of salt tbh
If I had to guess, the one's who have gotten them already were designated with a supplier who has just picked their allocation up. I'd say DPD allocation is ready to go but they just haven't picked them up yet.

The two on Reddit who confirmed they received it today both say on Reddit that it was with DPD and they got the delivery time window text (which only DPD do).

I have no idea then, most on here had DPD tracking go live around 19:30 on Saturday with "Order data received from sender" showing. I'd guess Smyths will hand them over in bulk to DPD who will deliver next day.

How or why some have been delivered early I don't know but until the "Order data received from sender" changes on the DPD tracking there's no movement

Just got this update on my DPD Tracking:

Your parcel is ready for dispatch
    Head Office

    That seems... positive...?

Ah, it's Mega 64. They're pretty big and have been doing this type of stuff for years.

Very positive. Mine hasn’t changed yet but that would mean DPD have your PS5 and I doubt they care about waiting, they’ll wait to deliver it ASAP. Might get lucky... gonna be refreshing mine all night now

Question about DPD. How many digits does your tracking number have? Mine has 9 digits whereas any previous delivery I've had has 8. I know it sounds like I'm clutching, but I'm just anxious!
As since this morning, it says my tracking number is invalid.

Anyone get charged yet for the PS5 Smyth's collection ? Got an email last week saying I'll get another mail about when to collect but it's still pending and no charge yet.

Needed to order something from Amazon and got no choice but to accept Priority Delivery which apparently is 7 days from now.

So nope, I don't really trust Amazon's shipping advice.

What is the new Amazon Ireland couriers? Is that priority delivery or a new description?

They have their own delivery service in Ireland now that bypasses AnPost.

Wednesday evening is for click & collect, most people that ordered for delivery have the same as yourself

  • Registered Users Posts: 689 ✭✭✭rm212

Apparently Currys UK are delivering all theirs tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 784 ✭✭✭Klair88

No movement on tracker today but not worried. I’m 99% sure most people will get it launch day for delivery but it would be great to see the ball rolling on the tracker from tomorrow on
