Spotlight on Jake Carter at long last, the language and swearing from DS is way OTT is there any need for it

Rory fairly went out with a whimper there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,384 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Ah you'd feel for him all the same.

I would be in the same boat in hoping the doctor tells me I can't go on

I have to say this show has been really good and it can be a hard watch sometimes but watching Rory go was hard. I am amazed of your man still being there with the broken rip. I could not do that. I would consider it quite dangerous what he is doing actually but fair play to him. It will either be him or Stephenie Rouch in the last episode or even both I think and maybe Peter Stringer too.

    Peace and long life.

Big surprise given Trimble's background. Suppose just wore out after the week.

Awe your one done amazing but if your back is gone then there is no point risking it too dangerous. She was right to stop there.

Stephanie has done well but won't make the hike,I don't think any of the ladies on any if the series have finished the hike within the time

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,473 ✭✭✭HBC08

Just shows how hard it is,Peter Stringer is a mental and physical warrior.

A girl won the first series if I recall correctly.

    I thought Rory did well.

Peter Stringer is shining on this episode.

Strings is the man. The boys running it think they are navy seals or something. I'd love to give it a try. It'd be a break from the farming anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,527 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

Stringer is absolute fcking beast. Just pure drive.

Dancing With The Stars' Ryan Andrews bravely opens up about scoliosis diagnosis, how is he lasting, fair play to him

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,384 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

I feel like a right slob now watching them from the couch

  • Registered Users Posts: 495 ✭✭Láidir agus Dílis

Ryan Andrews, a good lad. Love if he beat the Mark lad.

I can't hate on them to be honest, they were clearly pushed to their limit there.

Apart from Peter Stringer who, by the looks of it, probably could have been in special forces.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,473 ✭✭✭HBC08

My mistake and fair fcùks to Melanie there too.

Amazing stuff there from all of them but especially your man with the broken rib.Ive had a broken rib before and I'd nearly be crying if I knew a sneeze was on the way!

Barry must be gutted finishing 300m short but savage effort from him too.

21 k. Fcukin hell, hats off to anyone for finishing that. Especially given the terrain.

  • Registered Users Posts: 495 ✭✭Láidir agus Dílis

If Barry hadn't have paced himself with the top 2 he might have made it.

Glad Rory is gone, sickener to listen to. Has the voice of someone who's smoked 60 a day for 30 years. "I pushed myself like...and it's hard like...the way they treat ya like...you know like..."

Lad starts bawling at the slightest thing.

"I have a family and 3 kids to look after...my wife was good to me to let me go and do this". FFS wise up!

21k isn't too bad. Not much elevation in West cork either. Alot of it seemed to be paths. In fairness, it's the lack of food and sleep all week would have been the hardest of it.

Carrying a large weight on your back as well? Rather them than me. Fair play to those who managed to finish it.

Can't remember if it was 45KG or LB on their backs?

I'd struggle to walk it without that extra weight.
