Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Game over, Arsenal fell asleep at the back. Some ball by Kasper though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Sokratis on the line didn't even try to clear that.

Leicester 2-0. Simple route one ball and Vardy finishes it off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,641 ✭✭✭RollieFingers

That is some of the worst defending you'll ever see! What's the point in Arsenal getting into the champions league, they'd be spanked by the first half decent team they meet.

Well, they are allowed to go out and buy some defenders in the summer and champions league football will attract better players to the club.

No wonder opposition fans laugh at Arsenal or call us a banter club. That second Leicester goal wouldn’t have been conceded by a Leinster senior league side.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Leicester 3-0. Far too easy for them. Could have had a few more to be honest.

They need more than just defenders judging by that and recent performances, woeful stuff.

So a win for Chelsea today as good as ends the top 4 race. Even a draw would be a very good result. The form of 3rd to 6th is extraordinary

If Chelsea win then there could very possibly be absolutely nothing to play for on the final weekend unless Liverpool beat Newcastle next weekend.

It's a shame that Kroenke likely has no intention of giving him the money that is clearly needed.
I thought leaving on Mkhitaryan & taking off Iwobi was idiotic, when your down to 10 men you are going to need pace to be counter trying to get a goal.

Yeah a few weeks ago it was shaping to be a great last day

Fascinating how much teams 3-6 are faltering at the moment.

It's really making the fight for CL tough to predict.

Spurs have an excuse with CL and a thin squad but the rest are a bit hapless.

Yep, Sky could yet be bigging up the race for 7th on the final day of the season. If Man City don't beat Burnley and Chelsea beat United, that'll be the case.

Ditto if Man City don't win today, as I've said above. That'd be more to your liking, I'm guessing.

Appears to be a big problem for Arsenal. Emery will only have £40m to spend in the summer, according to the lads on AFTV, which is not going to be enough to get Arsenal where they need to be. Liverpool and City would spend that on a squad player.

    .

So you think brighton have more chance of getting a result against city than wolves do against liverpool.

Man City dropping points would be more than acceptable.

If wolves win at home to Fulham next weekend then they have 7th wrapped up as Leicester are away to city. Again, be ideal for Leicester to get something next weekend, but, yeah.

Burnley look well up for this. City will do well to leave Turf Moor with 3 points.

    City will drop points today

No they won't. Burnley will blow themselves out. 0-2 City.

Have to agree with this judging by the first half. They look a bit clueless about how to get past the packed Burnley defence.

Title will be won by Liverpool today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

City look devoid of ideas. Aguero and Sane resorting to long range shots.

Next half will tells us if this City are really one of the GOAT teams. I'm not seeing it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

    Dry pitch apparently. Sneaky Burnley

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

City look off in the final third. Don't think they'll get the win today. Burnley might sneak this 1-0.

If you are saying Spurs have an excuse with the Champions League then it's only fair to say Chelsea and Arsenal being in the semi finals of the Europa League is an excuse.

The only team without an excuse is Man U.

I wouldn’t put the house on Liverpool beating wolves if that’s what was required to win title. If city win out today and against Leicester then Liverpool will win but a different pressure could be telling

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

City should have had a pen there for handball. Looking like one of those days.

City robbed of an obvious penalty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,296 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

    Good save from Heaton

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

If this was a fight Burnley would have been on the verge of being stopped twice so far.
All one way traffic & the home side have had good fortune, so far at least

I don't think Ive seen city play so many crosses into the box before under pep. Unusual especially against Burnley.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

A little surprised by burnley. They’re fully safe yet are setting up all behind the ball for a point. Surely have a bit of a go? They literally hoof it as far as they can every time. Although that is there style

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,289 ✭✭✭✭rob316

City goal coming, Burnley cant get out of their box

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Title race ends in thirty minutes. Fair play to Burnley.

They had a bit of a go in the first half. I think they are just being forced back now.

1-0 City. That's part one done but can't see City keeping a clean sheet.

That's what it is for though. Just like VAR will help remove wrong marginal decisions. Well hopefully.
