Looks like a drive along Black head isn't recommended so.

It'll be a howler for sure, im wondering is it safe to drive along between Ballyvaughan and Lisdoon

Why in God’s name would ya do that? From a very serious point of view.
The last time we had a red warned windstorm 3 people were killed because of fallen trees. Do the right thing and stay indoors and observe from there.

    Latest ICON run .

    some Tight gradient in that.

Definitely red for Kerry and cork coasts as well based on that which is tying in with Evelyn.

Have to drive dublin to tipp @ 18.30 and back tonight @ 02.30, should I be worried? thanks

I’m guessing it’s Coolbawn Quay? If so have no worries it’s a permanent structure, survived many a storm. I think with your timing you will possibly miss the worst.

The timing on the south coast for serious winds is later this evening and info the early am? Or does it look like it could start to impact earlier ?

These are the top 5 maximum wind gusts at Shannon Airport for April back to 1945 - posted about the 1947 one (which holds the Irish records for April at the same station) yesterday. Will Hannah beat any of these or at least fall within the top 10? More than likely in the top 10 I'd say.

    1. 23 Apr 1947 - 89 knots
    2. 13 Apr 1960 - 65 knots
    3. 8 Apr 1962 / 5 Apr 1993 - 62 knots
    4. 20 Apr 1947 - 61 knots
    5. 5 Apr 1947 / 4 Apr 1962 - 60 knots

Do you have similar stats for Cork for April?

Still getting SSE winds here near Tralee towards the coast: will start to strengthen as they go more SW then veer W and all the while strengthening until they reach NW which will be the strongest for here probably between 20.00 and 01.00

They've been improving the sea wall along there over the winter it's the last phase of that I think.
