I'd say there are local/European election candidates who put up poster this week are probably wondering how many will still be where they were put tomorrow.

Good. Hopefully it hits Mayo. Maria Walsh had election posters on every single pole in sight around Swinford and Foxford. You could have a lamppost a few foot away from a electricity pole and still a poster on both. Come on Hanna, take them down!

Is it ? I thought it was from 8pm till midnight or has that change, or was that the time for the warning to kick in ?

I guess I just always associate rain with a windstorm and it’s sunny now so...meh

Down in Clare for weekend. Calmer now, but the wind would've blown an inbred off their sister earlier.

Drove from Cork city to kenmare Kerry from 2.45 to 4pm ish. Conditions were mixed from sunny to extreme short sharp bursts of rain . Currently in a bar in kenmare looking out the window and gusts are increasing , rain is light but being driven by the wind. I have seen far worse in the past two years but let's see how this fares out.

The one upside is most of the politicians for the European elections will be paying to replace their posters , I can report Kerry is launching 2 Healy rays at the European elections I couldn't believe it !

They expect the dangerous conditions to hit the two counties at different times.

    Really?
You must be in a very sheltered location. There are frequent very strong gusts here about 30 km SW of the city.

Wind is picking up in Tipp now, almost blew me away when i went outside

Clare is further north than Kerry?

I get that but surely the peak winds will be blowing up the shannon at some stage affecting both counties together?

I would have thought the could be some overlap.
