As it happens, I actually liked his post as I thought it was very good value and a practical car, and all I did was agree with the poster that it's not a good looking car!

There's only a couple of months NCT left on it, but these cars are ultra reliable
They normally sail through NCT with the biggest concern being rust which is very easy to check for if viewing
Only 108,000 miles too and the 1.3 engine is cheap to tax

Ill be putting up my wife's 1.2 2003 Polo on dd in a few days if anyone wants to dm me , we've had it 4 years. Nct to Feb next year , tax to end of August , only 49k miles , it had 19k miles when I bought it in 2016. Presentable enough , one slight scrape on the front bumper . No electrics .. Pioneer bluetooth, nice alloys , good tyres. Running well. Not sure what it's worth to be honest .
