Announcing a Tuesday night gig 16 months in advance. Gotta love the Germans and their organisational skills :)

Its that time of year ,the run up to Christmas ,when promoters feel the need to put everything they can on sale.
All the junk will be unloaded in the coming 6 weeks .

My chemical romance headlining Download Australia

So they be fools not to tour Europe. Whether it will be an extensive tour or just a few select dates. I can't imagine Dublin been top of there list

Acts that headline Reading and Leeds tend to play dates at the RDS , we saw that this year with Foo Fighters and Post Malone , I can imagine the crowd that bought tickets to see Green Day in June ( Im going myself ) would definitley go to see them , after coming back from a large hiatus like theres would bring a lot of hype they would definitley shift tickets and a lot of foriegn fans would travel to Dublin as well to see them theyve a huge following

I'm counting on this since they announced the LA gig!! There's been a huge wave of support and excitement since Hallowe'en. Especially after the announcement of their last album only being a greatest hits. People want more

They only announced their reunion last Thursday after being gone for 6 years and you think their fools for not touring Europe immediately, have some patience man, they'll announce European dates in due course.

Routing where and when to go when touring isn't easy.

Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining Firenze Rocks on June 13th , does that mean they are going to be doing european shows this summer , hopefully they do a date here would they still have a fanbase here after their short set in Croke last time they were here was 3arena?

Chillis without John doesn't work for me.

That said i've only watched vids of them with Josh. Anybody been to a recent gig and a classic gig and if so what were your thoughts?

Was watching the Slane castle gig last week. John is immense on guitar.

Iron Maiden just announced a heap of gigs for Europe around June and July. No sign of anything announced for UK or Ireland yet so fingers crossed.

    Could they do Slane maybe?

No chance ,she is playing Manchester Monday night.
It wont be Bruce either as its MCD.

It will no doubt be another one of MCD's homegrown overhyped acts.
Versatile or some rubbish like that.

Would they have had a press conference for Irish Independent park gigs? I don't think so, so safe to assume it's a PUC gig then.

And bands like The Script, Dermot Kennedy already have Cork gigs next year with no press conference so should be someone bigger than them.

Artist does suggest a one-person thing.

My bet is it'll be an old guy, like the Rod Stewart gig last year, or Madonna.

    Are we allowed mention Ga...

She'd be able to get to Manchester in plenty of time though. Not like her stage setup will be with her.

Not expecting much from it, hope to be proven wrong though

My thoughts as well. If they're a massive act I dont think they'd take the time to appear in person at a press conference announcing the gig.

Saw them at Tennents Vital in 2016 and one of their recent 3 arena gigs and they were brilliant both times, Josh is by no means on the level of John but he's come on massively since the gig in Croke Park and really fits nicely with the band these days, also the sound was really poor in Croker for that one so I'm sure that didn't help, would love to see them in a venue like Malahide

They won’t be back playing here, until 2021 at the very earliest. 13 gigs played on this island, in 4 years,(2015 to 2018) we all need a break !

Exactly, it’s not going to be anyone huge.

    Standard PuC level of act.

    Would it be him?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,707 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

Michael Buble just announced a US tour today.

He has played here 3 times in the last 18 months so I'd assume its not him.
