Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Re Ballina Salmon Festival
Sad to see the 2019 festival not going ahead. It is a unique festival going for at least 50 years. Apart from insurance costs it is harder for local people to put energy and time into such projects year after year.

E.g. in Galway the local authorities put big money into festivals and projects of all sorts. They often second staff to work on such projects. Even the Western Development Commission is pulled into Galway city projects.

The Mayo local authorities do not have the same resources in cash or personnel. Ballina Town Council, which may have been able to help or lead has been abolished by Phil Hogan
